Our client, a government based Oil and Gas Company is looking forward to recruit "Senior Corrosion Engineer in Abu Dhabi.

Job Duties:

1. Corrosion Monitoring and corrosion control. Conducts corrosion monitoring and corrosion control for the plants equipment, storage tanks and pipelines and prepares periodic corrosion reports.To ensure integrity and reliability ofRRD equipment.
2 .Cathodic protection. Reviews the existing cathodic protection systems design, highlights problems and suggests improvements.To ensure protection of all respective structures/ equipment at RRD.
3 . Projects specifications. Reviews project specifications for corrosion control, material and quality assurance aspects.To ensure project specifications are compatible with respective environment.
4 . Failure analysis. Reviews the inspection/ corrosion observations and analyzes the same after turnaround and on-stream inspections and makes necessary recommendations.To identify causes of corrosion/failure and recommend remedies.
5 . Corrosion monitoring tools. Reviews the existing corrosion monitoring tools and advises upgrading as required.To keep abreast with the latest technology to ensure effective corrosion monitoring.
6 . Corrosion control policies / Procedures.Reviews the Corrosion control policies/ procedures and upgrades the same as required. To ensure effective corrosion control.
7 . Replica. Carries out on site metallography using replica techniques, evaluates microstructure condition and issue reports.To monitor microstructures condition.
8 . Risk Based Inspection Carries out thorough and detailed review of all RRD units to define the corrosion loops and carries out detailed study to meet the requirements of Risk Based I inspections, To attach proper focus to the right equipment and processes to optimize number of equipments to be considered for detailed inspection without jeopardizing the integrity/ reliability of RRD equipment.

WORK CONTACTS:

Internal :

Regular contacts with Section Heads and managers of the Division, contact with Engineering & Technical Services Department in E&PD, Project Departments in E&PD, Procurement & Contracts Division up to Section Head level.

External:

Contacts with consultants and specialized research centers as required during Project works and failure investigation up to Manager level.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB :

B.Sc in Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
7 years' experience in process and utilities of Petroleum refineries, Chemical Process plants, Petrochemical plants of which 4 years as specialist in Corrosion Engineering.
Good knowledge of English.
