This vacancy is with our client, undertaking projects in oil & gas sector.

Candidate Minimum Requirements:
¿ Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
¿ Candidate must have 12 years previous experience in the oil and gas industry of which a minimum of 5 years should have been in the position of cost estimator for a client operator and/or contractor organization
¿ Candidate must possess and demonstrate a thorough understanding, knowledge and application of cost control, cost estimation and budgeting principles specific to Company requirements
¿ Candidate will be responsible for the preparation of independent cost estimates as required by the company¿s stage gate process. Candidate must have previous experience in developing class 5 (-20/ 40% - Assess stage) and class 4 (- 20/ 20% - Select Stage) capital cost estimates
¿ Candidate must have experience in developing independent and reviewing consultant CAPEX, OPEX estimates and projected project cash flow analysis and subsequent project economics for the assess and select stages
¿ Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills in order to prepare and present summary reports to management, and stakeholders and/or shareholders
¿ Candidate must be fully conversant with development and interpretation of project economics and their implications with reference to financial metrics such as Internal Rate of Return, Net Present Value, Return on Capital Employed and others
¿ Candidate will report primarily to Vice President-Business Development Studies Division as well as, to study manager and on occasions to project stakeholders and/or shareholders.

Additional Requirements:
¿ Candidate must be able to work with minimum supervision and on own initiative
¿ Candidate will be required to evaluate the technical proposals from potential consultants to ascertain compliance to the specified cost estimating functional requirements and to monitor and approve on behalf of BDSD the development of project cost estimate basis and methodology and provide clarifications to consultants for the same
¿ Candidate will responsible for preparation of cost budgets and subsequent requisition for their approval for BDSD division and be able to effectively manage the cost control of studies within approved budgets.
¿ Candidate will be required to develop a comprehensive database of cost building blocks for internal reference and independent estimates as and when required
¿ Candidate familiarity commercial cost estimating software such as IHS Questor and/or Aspen KBase will be considered advantageous.
