The bank-wide Business Intelligence (BI) program will be implemented over the coming years with the help of the BI Implementation Roadmap approved by senior management. The BI roadmap will consist of multiple concurrently running major BI Projects with their own project implementation cycles. These BI projects will be managed by the BI team.

The purpose of this role is to implement multiple BI projects by working with key stakeholders including Business BI teams, IT BI teams, CISO, FINCON, Audit etc. The job holder will manage all future major/minor enhancement projects related to the new FGB data warehouse environment (called Alchemy).

Education qualification ¿ Bachelor/Masters in computer science or Engineering degree or related field.

Job Description :

¿ Main responsibility of the job holder is to implement the BI Roadmap by managing future BI Major/Minor enhancement projects.
¿ Lead planning and implementation of BI projects. Job holder will actively participate in the requirement gathering & analysis, design, testing and implementation phases.
¿ Work with IT project manager to determine project missions, goals, tasks, timelines and resource requirements; manage the overall Project Plan; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between BI projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project¿s overall progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
¿ Present verbal and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management during the project life cycle; Identify critical success factors and mitigate risks to the project during its lifecycle.
¿ Facilitate business teams to create thorough, detailed business requirements (BRD) for BI projects.
¿ Work with IT teams/vendors to perform Business Analysis of BRD to make sure BI IT team clearly understands the scope and requirements of the project.
¿ Review functional solution documents prepared by the IT team to make sure they meet the business requirements.
¿ Work with IT project manager to create and execute UAT plan. Co-ordinate UAT effort among the users.
¿ In addition to the normal roles of project management, job holder is also expected to work closely with the business teams and interpret their BI needs in technical terms, and coordinates with IT to ensure adherence to all BI standards and best practices.
¿ Job holder will be responsible for making sure BI project documentation is accurate and up to date and all the changes to data warehouse have been documented properly.
¿ Job holder will need to manage multiple BI projects simultaneously. He/She needs to make sure smooth execution of parallel BI projects by analyzing the inter-dependencies and managing the risks.
¿ Being BI Project lead, job holder is expected to understand subject matter, anticipate what users will want, manage expectations of the stakeholders, assess and mitigate project risks, scope an increment.
¿ Job holder is expected to become subject matter expert on FGB BI technical architecture and new data warehouse.

Skills & Experience Requirements

¿ 5 to 7 Years of work experience primarily managing BI IT projects
¿ Thorough understanding of Software development life cycle (SDLC).
¿ Thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL techniques and designs, and BI best practices.
¿ Hands-on experience in using Project Plan, Project Schedule, Business Requirement document, Requirement Analysis Document, Functional Design document, UAT Test cases management
¿ Project Management certification and Proficiency in using IT PM tools like MPP.
¿ Hands on experience in preparing and submitting project status reports.
¿ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
¿ Strong Inter personal, liaison and problem solving skills
¿ Working experience in banking sector or in a leading solution vendor for banking products.
¿ Knowledge of Oracle BI technologies will be a big plus.
¿ Knowledge of core banking products will be a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: 15,000 to 20,000 AED. (Based on experience)

On confirmation there will be increase of AED 1000 on the above salaries (3 months probation)
