This vacancy is with our government client, undertaking projects in oil & gas sector:

Job Purpose and Scope
The Barge Supervisor is responsible for all activities related to rig less operations carried out by contractors/service companies on the barge, giving work directions to contractors personnel up to contractors/service companies on the barge, giving barge owner supervisor.
Principal Accountabilities:
¿ Supervises and controls the activities of service companys personnel involved in the provision of
technical services/operations covering:
¿ Matrix stimulation/acid wash, dean up and well testing operations, coiled tubing logging and fishing, Killing and cementing operations (Pre Rig operations).Scale cleaning, Collecting bottom hole sampling. Well head repairs and any required snubbing unit operations in the future.
¿ Monitor execution of related programs, review and reports on progress, arrange administrative
support such as accommodation and transportation of personnel and equipment.
¿ Investigates required supplies, orders materials/equipment from company stores and occasionally request s manufacturing /procurement of other requirements such as crossovers.
¿ Controls and ensures the economics consumption and safe utilization of company supplied equipment and materials.
¿ Ensure safe return of equipment and surplus materials to companys stores upon completion of
related operations.
¿ Prepares the daily progress report including the daily barge operating cost and supplied
materials/equipment and acid boats.
¿ Liaises with field production supervisor for tower inspection and tower handover of activities.
¿ Handles all emergencies encountered during normal operations of the barge moves as per
company established policy.
¿ Check and approve invoices related to work carried out on the barge.
¿ Visiting new towers, reporting major operational problems to team leader.
HSE Role:
¿ Implements and maintains HSE programs
¿ Reports and investigates incidents/accidents and makes necessary recommendation for
improvement.
¿ Ensures that safety equipment are maintained in efficient operating conditions.
¿ Ensures that all contractors are fully aware and adhere to all company¿s procedures and standards.
¿ Carry out planned inspection and self auditing to ensure plant and equipment are properly
maintaine.
¿ Conducts group safety meeting for contractors personnel on the barge
¿ Initiates emergency drills and exercises on weekly basis.
¿ Discuss near misses with service providers on daily basis and draw up the lessons learned.

Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts)
¿ Frequent contacts with field production, well operations engineers for coordination on barge move
and to maintain smooth barge operations.
¿ Frequent contacts with contractor/Service Companies personnel to discuss matters related to
operational programs, work progress and encountered problems.
¿ Occasional contacts with Stores Supervisor to coordinate required materials/equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
¿ Degree in relevant Engineering discipline such as Petroleum or Mechanical.
¿ Minimum 7 years experience and knowledge of rig less operations and awareness on drilling,
completion and workover engineering functions.
¿ Minimum three years experience in offshore work related to rig less activities (Desired).
¿ Computing skills including MS Office
