Our client, undertaking oil and gas projects is looking forward to recruit SCADA / Telecommunications Engineer

Technical Knowledge and Skills
¿ Knowledge of detail engineering of Telecommunication systems involving SDH/SONET, DWDM network design/configuration using backbone fibre optic cable for Data, Voice & Video, Radio-Microwave-VHF/UHF & VSAT communication, Hardware & Software configuration of the networking interfaces for SCADA/DCS/RTU.
¿ Knowledge of Telephone & PA/GA systems, CCTV, Security Access Control systems and structured cabling for industrial premises.
¿ Knowledge of communication channel allocation plan, network management system
¿ Software packages and configuration, Terminal Multiplexers, Add-Drop Multiplexers, and Main Distribution Frames.
¿ Familiarity with Industrial SCADA/DCS/PLC & RTU Systems
¿ Preparation of List of deliverables & Man-hour estimations pertaining to Telecom engineering activities for various projects during bidding & finalization stages.
¿ Preparation and review of specifications, data sheets, sizing calculations for:
i) Telecom & Networking : Site Visits and Data Collection, FOC Route survey & report, Telecom System Configuration, SDH/SONET Networking for Data, voice and video, Communication Channel Allocation Plan, Specification for VHF & VSAT Systems, Network Management System, GPS Clock server, Hardware & Software Configuration of the Network Management system, Specification for Fibre Optic Cable, Terminal multiplexers, Add-Drop Multiplexers, Main Distribution Frames, SCADA & RTU System Networking & Interface, Specification for FOC Installation, Specification for Fibre Optic Cable Ducting and Pull Boxes, patch panels, patch cables, Optical/Electrical signal converters, Optical Switches, Interface with plant networks, Interface with Integrated Power Control systems, Structured Cabling Specification, Power consumption summary, Preparation of MTO, Scope of Construction work, etc.
ii) Electronics & Communication: Specification for CCTV system, Security access control System, Spec. for Telephone-EPABX & PA-GA System, MTO.
¿ Review of vendor documents, drawings and preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation reports.
¿ Knowledge of field testing procedures and field test equipment.
¿ Familiar with international codes, standards and regulations in Telecommunication Engineering.

¿ Must possess strong interpersonal skills to be able to coordinate in a multi disciplinary environment.
¿ Be able to motivate and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers.
¿ Ability to communicate with senior management.
¿ Ability to communicate with, and develop long term relationships with clients.

Qualifications (Educational/Professional)
¿ A formal engineering qualification (Diploma/Degree) would be an advantage.
¿ A background in Project Engineering in onshore oil and gas industries.

Experience
¿ At least 8 years previous experience of project planning.
