We have a job opening with an Oil & Gas company based in Abu Dhabi.

Field Senior Control Specialist-offshore based (contract hire position)

Conditions:
Period: One year with possible extensions.
Location-Abu Dhabi (UAE)
Work rotation Cycle: 29days on duty/ 27 days off duty


Main Duties:

Assist the instrumentation supervisor in monitoring and maintaining all the activities related to offshore field maintenance of distributed control system, ESD, and F&G systems programmable Logic controller and package PLCs:

Manage the corrective and preventive tasks related to turbine control systems both field instrumentation as well as the package PLCs.
Review and follow-up of PLC software modification/creation as requested /approved by authorized personnel and operated by OEM contractors. This shall include mimics, database building, controller/logic configuration, reports etc
Periodic/ breakdown maintenance (hardware) including spare parts management offshore, appraise and plan recovery.
Provide first line troubleshooting and problem solving for all turbo machinery PLCs and associated instrumentation. Shall be capable of performing SRV / GCV and star valves calibration.
Periodic back of application software and maintenance of the same.
Power up/start up of different package PLCs, as per procedure recommended by manufacturer.
Provide technical supervision of the contractors for all Control Systems work performed (mainly Siemens, Client, and Rolls Royce Turbine Control Systems).
Monitor Contractor personnel. Technically supervise any intervention.
Monitor backlog related to control systems.
Assist in preparation and commissioning of new facilities.
Maintain and update all system documentation relating to rotating equipment.
Reporting to Field maintenance Instrumentation supervisor (FMI) on day to day basis on Control systems activities / issues.



Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

7-8 years experience in similar duty
Hands on experience on Modbus + network and Allen Bradley / Mark Vle etc
Hands on experience with Client DCS (Experion), High performance manager (HPM), Enhanced PLC Gateway (EPLCG), Local Control Network (LCN), Communication Link Module (CLM), History Module (HM), Application Module (AM), Network Interface Module (NIM) etc. including troubleshooting and software configuration. Triconex TMR experience will be an advantage.
