year full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any other equivalent
¿ Minimum 10 years experience out of which 4 to 5 years as a Supervisor / Foreman and UAE/GCC experience is must
¿ Thorough knowledge of all relevant welding trade practices, welding codes(AWS, ASME, API) etc. tools, equipment and materials.
¿ Report any unforeseen discrepancies related to welding quality/repair rates etc to Production Manager/Welding Engineer for root cause analysis and to take preventive measures.
¿ Timely requisition of welding materials in order to meet with the project construction schedule and/or completion date.
¿ Allocate welders as per approved welder list and approved weld map/plan.
¿ Oversee process of qualification of welders and ensure that welding is carried out only by qualified welders in accordance to applicable welding procedure/s.
¿ To undertake workshop audit of welding machine, electrode baking and storage to ensure all welding equipment meet required specification.
¿ Provide required training to charge hands and welders in order to increase efficiency and improve welding productivity in the yard.
¿ Monitor and manage production schedules and output in order to complete work orders on time and thereby meet production schedule.
