Job description

This vacancy is with our cleint, leading Petrochemical Company undertaking projects in oil & gas sector.

Basic Function:
Supervises, guides, coordinates, plans and monitors the activities related with Plant Maintenance. Directs activities related with planning of routine, shutdown and turnaround maintenance, monitors performance and suggests measures to augment output and contributes to costing and budgeting activities of Department. Audits asset and work management tool from business process perspectives and recommends changes to enhance its effectiveness.

Work Performed:
¿ Plans, directs and co-ordinates the activities of assigned personnel e.g. Planning Engineer, Maintenance Planners and performs supervisory functions at the level established by the Management.
¿ Reviews, revises and updates or create maintenance policy attributes, procedures and practices and suggests improvements.
¿ Provides opportunities for training and development of employees under his direction (with emphasis on UAE nationals).
¿ Monitors maintenance activities to ensure that safe operating maintenance procedures are followed and counsels employees regarding compliance as necessary.
¿ Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned.
¿ Supervises, plans, guides and coordinates all aspects of routine maintenance activities including:
¿ Management of maintenance work with the help of work and asset management tool.
¿ Distribution of resources (manpower and equipment).
¿ Scheduling of maintenance work and coordination with operations for equipment release for maintenance.
¿ Historical data¿s upkeep.
¿ Supervises implementation of PM program, periodic reviews to optimize it to ensure cost effective reliability and availability of plant assets.
¿ Backlog management and control.
¿ Assists Planning Section Team Leader in preparation of performance measurement reports of maintenance function including:
? KPIs status report.
? Monthly, quarterly and yearly maintenance function¿s reports.
? Management information reports and analysis as and when needed.
¿ Initiates purchase requisitions for contracted manpower, materials and equipments.
¿ Coordinates with contractors/vendors for specialist services as needed.
¿ Liaises with inter-departmental personnel and other departments for the implementation of plans, schedules and progress feed back.
¿ Supervises, Plans and coordinates all aspects of turnaround and shutdown project work.
¿ Co-ordinates with other departments for the identification of scope of work for the turnaround or shutdown project.
¿ Supervises and participates in Job plans (WBS, Resources) preparation in asset and work management system.
¿ Supervises and participates in creation of Networks and S-Curves in Planning and Scheduling software for progress monitoring and control of the project.
¿ Assists Planning Section Team Leader in preparation of technical element of tender document for Turnaround/ Shutdown project.
¿ Carries out technical evaluation of the bids received.
¿ Assists Planning Section Team Leader in co-ordination with main and sub-contractors, Reviewing of Mob/Demo schedules and rationalization of contractor¿s resource requirement.
¿ Ensures timely action for acquisition of long lead items/ materials follow up.
¿ Supervises and participates in progress loading in Planning and Scheduling Software to generate daily progress S-curves during turnaround or shutdown execution.
¿ Supervise and participates in compilation of daily progress reports identifying bottle necks and recommends measures to overcome progress hampering factors during execution.
¿ Participates in daily progress meetings of turnaround/shutdown.
¿ Assists Planning Section Team Leader in rationalization of job plans submitted by contractor for emergent work and contractor¿s claims pertaining to deviations during the execution of turnaround/shutdown.
¿ Supervises and participates in project closing activities like:
? History loading and work order closing in asset and work management system.
? Preparation of Turnaround Manager¿s report.
? Initiation of actions as recommended.
¿ Participates in achievement of HSE objectives and compliance to Company HSE Management System, Policies & Procedures.
¿ Participates in HSE related studies including HAZOP, HAZID, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment and Audits.
¿ Enforces HSEMS compliance, promotes awareness for subordinates and responds to emergencies.
¿ Reviews periodically the HSE performance of staff under area of responsibility and takes appropriate measures.

Work Contacts:
? Has regular contact at all level from Supervisor to Team Leaders level of all plant operations division and other divisions.
? Has Occasional contact, at similar level, with other ADNOC group of companies as per mutual assistance procedures of the company.

Independence of Operation:
? Reports to Planning Section Team Leader.
? Supervises plans and determines work method in accordance with established procedure and professional engineering standards. Work accomplishments are subject to review and discussions.

Minimum Requirements:
¿ B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
¿ Minimum 10 years experience of routine, shutdown and turnaround plant maintenance.
¿ Extensive knowledge of asset and work management system, lime Maximo or SAP, and Planning and Scheduling software Primavera for Enterprise or equivalent.
¿ Experienced in use of Microsoft suite
¿ Very good knowledge in English
