Our client, an oil and gas construction company is looking forward to recruit Fabric Maintenance Supervisor for their project in Iraq

Duties and Responsibilities
¿ Projects¿ Responsible Person for all fabric maintenance activities on existing and future facilities.
¿ Will be fully knowledgeable on coating applications to all types of process plant surfaces.
¿ Will be fully knowledgeable on the various types of paints and coatings available on the market their shelf life and storage requirements.
¿ Have full knowledge of the preparation needs of the various types of surfaces and the tools and equipment required to achieve the correct finish prior to coating
¿ Be able to apply and supervise the application of coatings to their correct design thickness and be able to measure the thickness and produce a coatings map proving correct coverage.
¿ Have full appreciation of curing times and the effect of ambient temperature on coatings.
¿ Be fully conversant with all tools and equipment for the application of coatings be they hand tools or power tools.
¿ Be knowledgeable on the removal and replacement of insulation.
¿ Plan all work with full reference to any scaffolding or lifting needs.
¿ Consider all Health, Safety and Environmental factors for each task and ensure there are formal risk assessments in place to mitigate all hazards.
¿ Liaise with client¿s team on procedures and practices.
¿ Support the projects inspection and corrosion management systems.
¿ Produce a full written report on completion of each task.
¿ Ensure all work is executed to clients current and future codes, procedures and standards.
¿ Train and competency test local sub-contractors fabric maintenance teams to ensure they are able to carry out all work to the correct standards
¿ Provide guidance to the Planning Team and Procurement Coordinator
¿ Compile Fabric Maintenance detailed handovers pre / post field breaks.
¿ Fully support the clients¿ Materials Maintenance Management System.
¿ Seek improvement opportunities, liaising with client, Peer Group, Shutdown Manager and Maintenance and Construction Supervisors.
¿ Monitor repairs and patch repairs with shutdown teams post activities.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes
¿ 10+ years¿ experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas project/operations on a major project
¿ ONC/HNC in associated discipline
¿ Expert knowledge of industrial coatings and preparation.
¿ Expertise in vessel, tank and pipeline coatings and insulation, internal and external.
¿ Excellent communication skills; both oral and written, whilst exercising discretion is essential.
¿ Good training and excellent supervisory skills.
¿ Proven diversity experience.
