Job description
Our client, a leading oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Material Review Engineer Mechanical Specialist for their offshore locationPurpose:
Acting within your specialist area as the Focal Point for the selection, procurement, cataloguing, storage and preservation in relation to HSECES critical spares across Das Island operating assets, the incumbent mechanical, electrical and instrument Spares Engineers will be required to ensure that the right spares are held against the right equipment in sufficient quantities in order to ensure maximised plant availability and that the cost of spares ownership is minimised.
Main Duties:
¿ To demonstrate leadership and commitment in promoting the HSE corporate vision in all HSE matters, promoting the correct behaviors and development and use of relevant procedures.
¿ To provide effective through life spares management aligned with system and equipment criticality ensuring equipment spare parts are stocked at optimized inventory levels such that disruption to normal operations is minimized.
¿ The selection of spares is to be managed to take into account those deemed necessary to provide for Insurance, Preventative, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance purposes, taking into account outputs from Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, Risk Based Inspections reviews, Vendor recommendations and guidance issued from within Maintenance and Operations Department Heads.
¿ Contracts and Procurement - As necessary, to develop, provide and review scopes of work and technical content for contracts and procurement.
¿ Ensures correct storage and preservation of procured spares by providing detailed recommendations and conducting periodic audits of storage facilities, conditions, preservation routines and the keeping of adequate records.
¿ Interface with storage and logistics team to ensure that storage and movement of spares is correctly managed at all times.
¿ Develop and manage metrics concerning spares selection, procurement, budget management, cataloguing, storage, preservation and future replenishment.
Minimum Requirements:
¿ More than 15 years experience in general maintenance activities including the management of spares associated with the oil refining or Petro-Chemical industry.
¿ Excellent knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment in specialist area.
¿ Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents.
¿ Ability to communicate with technical specialists.
¿ Ability to train others and pass on technical knowledge and experience.
¿ Self motivated and able to work unsupervised on own initiative.
¿ Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
Remuneration package:
¿ Leave cycle: 35 working days on Das Island, followed by 28 days of leave to point of origin.
¿ Messing and bachelor accommodation are provided free of charge on the Island.
¿ Excellent sports/recreational club facilities on the Island.
