The Drilling & Completions Services Engineer (Contracts) ensures all services contracting and procurement needs of Wells Operations are met

Principal Accountabilities:

¿ Responsible for coordinating and participating with company Commercial and Logistics and Marine and potentially the ADNOC group in the following areas:
? Technical preparation of bidding and contracting strategy for drilling and completions services
? Technical pre-qualification and selection of vendors
? Bidding and contracting of company well operations services including but not limited to:
? Technical preparation of contract tender packages to issued for bid including pricing models and tables
? Participation in technical negotiations and specific terms of contracts, working with company Corporate Support (Legal and Commercial) and Administrative Support (Finance) as required
? Negotiation of Farm-in/Farm-out contracts
? Perform technical evaluation of tenders
¿ Ensures balance exists between timeliness and operations primacy versus marginal gains in contracts rates and pricing
¿ Custodian of all Company well operations contracts
¿ Maintains database of any follow-up reports on Vendors
¿ Provides expert-level contracting advice to well operations
¿ Participates in procurement planning process to identify cross-business unit opportunities
¿ Complies with and promotes sound control practices and standards
¿ Responsible for long range well operations services planning with input from well operations Engineering, the Material Specialist and the Materials Services Coordinator
¿ Contact with Well Operations Sections and Groups ( Teams), principally the Drilling and Completions Operations Section, on a daily basis to ensure provision of services
¿ Contact with company commercial and Logistics and Marine departments
¿ Contact with commercial (Contracting & Procurement Sections) as required
¿ Potential contact with ADNOC group when necessary
¿ Contact with Service Companies when necessary

Independence of Operations and Decision-Making Authority:

Responsible for ensuring contracting and procurement needs of well operations services are met. Decides priorities, bring in new ideas and technology and provide expertise in the function area to achieve required performance standards.

Minimum Requirements:

¿ Degree in relevant Engineering discipline such as Petroleum or Mechanical
¿ Minimum 5 years experience and knowledge of drilling engineering functions
¿ Minimum 3 years experience in offshore work related to drilling activities with good knowledge in Drilling Information Management System (DIMS)
¿ Computing Skills including MS office
¿ Drilling Engineering school
¿ Skills including:
¿ Casing Design
¿ Basic Drilling Fluids Technology
¿ Basic Cementing Technology
¿ Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient Technology
¿ Well Control
¿ Blowout Prevention Equipment and Testing
