PURPOSE
To follow up, coordinate, plan and supervise Scaffolding activities to support area Maintenance and Inspection of the piping, equipment, stacks, and furnaces in Habshan & Bab plant areas.

BACKGROUND
¿ The Scaffolding Supervisor reports to the Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer. This section is responsible for the scaffolding erected by Contractor staff, the Safety and Inspection of scaffolds, dismantling and familiarity with a wide range of scaffolding types and techniques in line with CITB certified Body or Equivalent.
¿ The Scaffolding supervisor shall implement the scaffolding activity as per ISO 9001:2008 QMS Scaffolding procedure.
¿ The scaffolding Supervisor shall follow ISO 9001:2008 QMS Inspection Check list to certify the Scaffolding.
¿ The scaffolding supervisor shall have good knowledge of scaffolding tubes, Boards, couplers, joint pins, Base and sole plate and all other scaffolding accessories.
¿ The Scaffolding supervisor shall have good knowledge of Scaff Build Techniques, Ladder specifications, Base Height Ratio, Guard rail Height, Toe Board, Loading classification.
¿ The Scaffolding supervisor shall implement Inspection tagging system to ensure the integrity of various types of scaffolds like Hanging, Bridging, Birdcage, Truss-out, Slung, Cantilever Scaffolds, Hoist Towers, and Loading Bays.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
¿ To follow up, supervise and ensure that Scaffolding Works are executed by assigned personnel, in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 QMS procedures and HSE requirements and within the budget and time frame.
¿ To input, process and update MAXIMO Scaffolding Work Order to control Backlog in order to meet Integrity Compliance factor KPI.
¿ To ensure that all work orders properly close out with failure report and Booking of actual resources spent against correct GL Account.
¿ To Conduct Tool Box talk on weekly basis in order to ensure the PTW and other special precautions are met and all safety measures are implemented.
¿ To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
¿ To evaluate man-hours required to install each Scaffolding work order and ensure Contractor meets these constraints.
¿ To maintain the inventory of various types of Scaffolding materials, maintain records and inform Civil Engineer / Sr.Civil Engineer accordingly.
¿ To ensure that all requested scaffolding materials are inspected prior to off loading so that accepted materials are free from rust, damage, cracks, warps, knots, fish plate damages.
¿ To obtain Approved Third Party Valid Verification Certificates for all Scaffolding materials, load bearing clamps, load pulleys, tool bag.
¿ To ensure that all Scaffolders, Contractor Supervisors are CITB Certified or any other approved Third party Certification Body.
¿ To train and develop the assigned staff with emphasis to UAE Nationals.
¿ To ensure certification of Scaffolds prior to use and if any alterations effected.
¿ To prepare contingency plans for unplanned shutdown activities and apportion the costs in consultation with the Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Engineer.
¿ To prepare effective cost estimates / service requests for all resources to be obtained from outsourced on call Contractor for additional resources to ensure final expenditure variance are within acceptable limits.
¿ To prepare Monthly Time Sheets for on call Manpower and get endorsed from Section Management for every month and post the accruals to Central Planning with GL Accounts, same shall reflect in the invoice.
¿ To prepare HSE Statistics includes safe man-hours, near misses reported, preventive and corrective actions taken and close out of incident reports and maintain record, copy to HSE Dept.
¿ To implement Company Waste Handling procedures for waste segregation, packaging, transporting and safe disposal of construction waste generated from In-house and outsourced civil projects.

Minimum Requirements:
¿ Degree or Diploma in Engineering with minimum 5 years experience
¿ Experience in Scaffolding activities and third party certification
