Our client, a French collaborated oil and gas company is looking forward to recruit Materials Controller

The Offshore Materials Controller will be responsible for control of all construction materials, lifting equipment, commissioning materials and consumables. He will also be responsible for temporary stores and identifying any shortages/reordering of consumables as required. This is a Client role that requires management and control of all materials and material movement.

General responsibilities are:
¿ Nasr Brownfield offshore materials control point of contact.
¿ Interfaces with onshore Materials Controller
¿ Control all materials offshore in line with the company and project specific system
¿ Track all movement of materials between Mussafah Yard to offshore
¿ Take ownership of all materials offshore ensuring they are correct and free of any overages, shortages & damage
¿ Development system to identify materials per Offshore Construction Work Packs, and if practical, to job card
¿ Reports directly to Nasr Construction Superintendent / Nasr PMT organization offshore
¿ Defines, develops and provides input to materials Control Plan and ongoing project reports
¿ Ensures all offshore documentation and certification is strictly adhered to
¿ Work with Offshore Quality Engineer and Construction Superintendent to ensure safe and timely receipt, and storage & issued of goods
¿ Ensures the material reconciliation upon completion of the project

Activities Required
¿ Assist with develop of Offshore Materials Control Plan
¿ Management/monitoring of all materials movement and storage for all Nasr Brownfield project materials
¿ Arranges materials in required sequence and in line with offshore priorities
¿ Provide input to planning for all materials control activities
¿ Participate in all project meetings and regular follow-up by line management

Required Skills
¿ Must have experience in materials control in offshore projects
¿ Must have worked on offshore projects, preferably brownfield ¿ onshore experience only candidates will not be considered
¿ Have general knowledge of what materials look like
¿ Good knowledge of material control and logistics
¿ Experience in storage management (temporary or permanent storage)
¿ Experience in control of spares
¿ Knowledge in SAP system is an advantage
¿ Fluent in English
¿ Good interpersonal and communication skills
¿ Interfaced with Client(s), operations and Contractors
¿ Able to be a Team Player

Qualification & Experience Required
¿ Diploma Minimum 10 years experience (at least 40% offshore projects)
¿ Must have worked on offshore projects, preferably brownfield ¿ onshore experience only candidates will not be considered
¿ Must be computer literate
