This vacancy is with our client, leading Steel Manufacturing Company in Abu Dhabi
They are looking for an ideal candidate who is capable to provide support to the department regarding aspects of raw material and final product quality including product development.

Description

The primary role of the Quality Control Support Specialist is to assist/provide support to the raw material and final products quality aspects for potential and existing customers of the company. The Product Support Specialist will combine his expertise in the different grades and quality in mass steel production such as DRI, Steel Billet/Beam/Bloom, Re-bar, Wire Rod and Heavy Section Products to assist the sales and marketing process, provide customer support and for product certification process.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for production team, test houses and laboratories. Provide assistance to auditors as required. Responsible for all documentation and regulatory requirements for shop projects as they relate steel manufacturing. Accreditation for various standards and codes. To develop quality objectives, improvement plan and track the implementation. Undertake demonstrations of product offerings to potential customers with a specific focus on steel quality and grades. Report on progress of all efforts, especially related to analysis and testing, internal product quality issues and customer cases.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

¿ A master¿s or engineering degree in Metallurgy.
¿ Self-motivation and ability to work independently
¿ Excellent oral and written, communication and presentation skills
¿ Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office environment.


Experience:

¿ Minimum 10 years experience in an integrated steel plant in quality and development functions.
¿ The candidate must have a minimum of experience in various European and American Quality Standards
¿ Minimum 3 years experience managing manufacturing quality control programs for an industrial ASME facility
¿ Must have a working Knowledge of the ASME, API codes
