This vacancy is with our government client undertaking projects in oil & gas sector.

Basic Function and Scope:
To provide leadership and direction for OA during all project phases of the Process Plant package and is a key operations support function to the Process Plant package Senior Project Manager as well as OA Coordination Manager. Responsible for leading a team in the Process Plant pre-operations organization and upon completion of the project, may assume a position of responsibility in the Shah Gas Development operations organization, To manage the operations, (regular) maintenance and HSE MS/AIMS related activities of the assigned production Area to timely fulfill the objectives of safety, Integrity, product quality and quantity.

Tasks, Duties and Accountabilities:
¿ Reports to Senior Project Manager during Detailed Engineering Phase and functionally to the OA Coordination Manager
¿ Coordinates and manages EPC Package Operations resources,
¿ To participate in reviews of EPC Package documents and drawings (P&ID, PFD, 3D Models/ data sheets, etc.).
¿ To manage the Area in executing the long term and yearly operational plans to provide the required contribution to the achievement of the Divisions and companys objectives.
¿ To communicate within the company and the Areas objectives and business context to ensure alignment and common understanding of the objectives (In particular the HSE objectives).
¿ To delegate and supervise the implementation of performance objectives for the Area based on single point accountabilities as well as establish monitoring mechanisms in order to ensure that these objectives are delivered.
¿ To manage the budget, processes and business tools and to direct human resources of the Area to achieve the objectives in an effective and cost-conscious manner.
¿ To identify gaps in staff competencies and to pursue opportunities to develop them by coordinating with the Department of the Organization Capability Division to establish a competent workforce/culture driving for improvement with special attention to UAE Nationals and to support the company in achieving the Emiratization targets,
¿ To manage operations and (regular) maintenance of the Plants facilities In the Area to safety deliver on company¿s production targets in time, budget and quality.
¿ To cooperate closely with Shah Gas Plant maintenance and Technical Services
¿ Departments to provide Input to maintenance overhaul/shutdown planning and technical studies to ensure that Operations receive the necessary high-quality support In maintaining reliable and stable production levels while complying with the HSE standards,
¿ To coordinate the provision of input to the planning and execution phases of major and Technical Projects to contribute to the efficient and effective completion of projects and their integration in the Area as per specification..
¿ To coordinate the consistent application of HSE MS and AIMS in the Production Area to ensure high safety, reliability and integrity of Plants operations.
¿ To collaborate closely with external parties (OPCOs, contractors, etc) other Departments and the HQ to coordinate operational Interfaces (upstream/downstream) efficiently.
¿ To participate in HOZOPS, reliability improvement initiatives, PCRs incident investigations and technical risk/root-cause-analysis (incl. participation in exercises for Major Projects if required) to ensure the incorporation of lessons learned and the minimization of production risks in the short and long term.

Work Contact
Internal: Report direct to OA Coordination Manager, interfaces with A & OI Technical Manager, Well Supervisor / SIMOPS Coordinator, Lead Engineers etc. Later while operation reporting to the Vice President ¿ Plant.
External ¿ Senior Project managers
Latitude (Independence of Operation):
Work In accordance with the established Company Policy and Procedures. Completed assignments are subject to review.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervises the activities of personnel assigned which may include discipline engineers and senior operations personnel

Physical Efforts:
Initially 60-70% of time working in office, Work involves relocation to EPC Contractor Home Office for Detail Engineering which includes discussions, workshops, and regular Project Team Review Meetings. Later while construction 50% field activities.

Work Environment:
¿ Office environment during detail engineering at EPC Contactors home office. Extended stay in a harsh & desert field environment during construction, commissioning and start up phases

Minimum Requirement:
¿ Bachelor of Science in Engineering/ equivalent degree, or attested combination of education and operations experience.
¿ At least 15 years general engineering experience at a senior or supervisory level in the hydrocarbon or chemical processing industry.
¿ Experience In planning for operations In projects, schedule development or other related aspects of projects and/or operations
¿ Experience in managing onshore remote desert operations
¿ Line experience with HSE management systems and procedures. Experience In H2S operations will be an asset,
¿ Ability to work with and Influence at different levels of the organization.
¿ Working knowledge of maintenance management, asset integrity management, process safety and electrical distribution systems.
¿ Experience in working on large projects with a multi-national workforce.
