This vacancy is with our client, undertaking projects in oil & gas sector.

Job Purpose:
Provides general practitioner service to all personnel and visitors on Das Island at the clinic.
(Current Das Island population is approximately 6000 persons; includes company personnel and contractors Personnel and Government officials)

Principal Accountabilities:
¿ Provides general practitioner services to all Das Island population, visitors on Das Island and occasionally, tanker crews as well as some offshore personnel sent to Das Hospital for medical care. Scope of service includes emergency, in-patient and out-patient services
¿ Arranges transfer and further treatment in Abu Dhabi for patients requiring further consultation or specialized treatment. Escorts the critical patient if indicated.
¿ To ensure that all Medevac cases are effectively treated and transferred from Das Island in the speediest and safest manner to the appropriate medical institutions in Abu Dhabi
¿ Provides medical cover on offshore locations under PBUMT in case of operational requirements.
¿ Conducts medical examinations for newly recruited employees and periodic medical examinations for employees, contractors and other medical examination like food handlers medical etc
¿ Scrutinizes the medical examination/fitness reports for the employees to be mobilized to Das Island.
¿ Keeps PBU Medical team leader informed of all hygiene matters and draws his attention to medical cases that require a second opinion
¿ Ensures that all duties allocates are carried out in a safe and professional manner in compliance with current HAAD, company & HSE regulations
¿ Undertakes all duties as specified in the joint Emergency Procedures and, where appropriate, any other duties as instructed by the Incident Controller
¿ Performs other related duties, such as giving First Aid Courses to Das & offshore employees and other health related programme and campaigns
¿ Keeps professionally updated to meet HAAD license renewal requirements
¿ Participates in Emergency drills/exercises conducted

Minimum Requirements:
¿ Recognized Medical Degree
¿ Valid HAAD license to practice
¿ Minimum 5 years experience as a General Practitioner in a general hospital
¿ Good knowledge of English; spoken Arabic desirable
¿ Must have a valid UAE driving license.

Work Location: Das Island, Abu Dhabi
Rotation Cycle: 28 days ON followed by 28 days OFF (Free Messing & accommodation -Bachelor status)
