Our client, a French collaborated oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Database Administrator and Application Support

Activities
Database Administrator
¿ Install and maintain Databases for Applications (In-house, 3rd party, Headquarter)
¿ User creation and maintenance. Apply strict security rules, monitor user activity and audit the database
¿ Perform Software upgrades related to the Database (like patches and new versions)
¿ Perform Daily tasks like checking the database availability, alert & trace logs, disk space availability and systems error logs
¿ Periodic tasks include checking server, database and application performance and hence perform database and or network tuning accordingly and or suggest the developer to fine-tune the application code

Software Developer
¿ Create, update and maintain in-house application documentations
¿ Insure maintenance for in-house applications

Business Support
¿ Insure Application support with the users

Required Qualifications & Background
¿ A thorough knowledge of Relational DBMS concepts, considerable knowledge of the Windows OS architecture is required
¿ Oracle Database Administrator, .Net Developer is required
¿ SQL, PowerBuider developer, is a must
¿ Should have good communication skills in English and French
¿ Should be ready to meet the growing challenge of the end user requirements. The down time should be minimized to the possible extent because the critical databases have to be up and running always
¿ Should be in deep co-ordination with the Systems team to maintain a smooth running database system
¿ Must upgrade ones knowledge and keep in touch with latest developments in database industry and try to implement best
