Job description

The above vacancy is with our client, undertaking projects in the oil & gas sector.

Technical Skill Sets:
¿ Experienced in Conceptual studies, FEED, Basic and Detailed Design for onshore / offshore Oil and Gas processing facilities.
¿ Work will involve new installations as well as upgrades and retrofits to existing terminals, pipelines and platforms.
¿ Work will involve both upstream and Downstream Industry process for Oil & Gas.
¿ Experienced in technology evaluation and selection, process modeling and simulation.
¿ Preparation of heat and material balances, sizing and specifying equipment.
¿ Familiar with HAZOP study and design reviews.
¿ Acquaintance with pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and activities.
¿ Up to date ability to use process simulation software such as HYSYS. PRO II and PIPE SIM.
¿ Acquaintance with Process Hazard / Risk Analysis.
¿ Sound knowledge of development of PFDs, P&IDs, and UFD¿s, Data Sheet including sizing and specification of equipment & instruments.
¿ Design reviews, Project technical reviews. Co-ordination with other disciplines.
¿ Well conversed with the international codes and standards.



Management Skill Sets:

¿ Deep Knowledge of project development: preliminary engineering to detail designs to construction and the final safe turnover to proponent.
¿ Experience in development of material requisitions and technical evaluation of received proposals.
¿ Attending Coordination meetings with client, vendors and subcontractors.
¿ Time (hours) estimation for project development (engineering).
¿ Manage contractor preparation of detailed design, material specifications and procurement, and/or construction bid packages.
¿ Communicating with all levels of management.

Qualifications:
¿ Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.
¿ Affiliation to professional bodies in the field of specialization.
¿ Minimum 15 years experience with Consulting / EPC Firms of which at least 10 years must be in Oil & Gas sector.
