Job description

¿ To work as lead mechanical engineer on specific projects.
¿ To independently handle static equipment and piping construction responsibilities on various oil & gas and petrochemical projects.
¿ To carry out the Technical Integrity role for the Mechanical Engineering on projects.
¿ To ensure all construction work is carried out as per drawings, quality control documents, method statements & best engineering practices in a safe manner in compliance to international codes and standards.
¿ To implement quality assurance requirements especially for welding activities
¿ To coordinate among different contractors at site to resolve any conflict of activities
¿ To monitor material issuance to contractors
¿ To resolve technical queries raised by construction team
¿ To co-ordinate with other engineers from all disciplines including external agencies such as PMC, EPC contractors, licensors & suppliers etc
¿ To ensure all Mechanical engineering work on the projects assigned is carried out within established budgets and schedules.
¿ To prepare Scope definition, estimation and progress control of the Mechanical engineering activities.
¿ Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Engineering Manager.
¿ To originate, follow up Punch lists till close out
¿ To provide all necessary assistance to the contractor during commissioning and start up phases.
¿ To review the As-built drawings and documentation.
¿ To carry out all activities required to familiarize site engineering personnel to the new equipment and installations.
¿ To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
¿ B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution
¿ 12 Years Experience in Petrochemical, OH & Gas industries
¿ Good knowledge of written and spoken English language
¿ Analytical thinking, time management
¿ Good knowledge of engineering standards and design softwares
