Job description

One of our client, a government company is looking for suitable candidates for the above position

Routine Operations
¿ Follow up regularly with the Project Department and other departments regarding delays in the payment of bills
¿ Verify that expenditures following the Company¿s policies for purchasing and travel and ensure that expenditures are recorded against the appropriate accounts and follow generally accepted accounting principles
¿ Ensure payments is correct with all supporting documents and confirms to SOPP

Monitor and Control
¿ Compare the payments made to the contractors/suppliers/consultants against the amounts and payment terms agreed upon in the contracts/LPO.
¿ Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in the records related to payments, on regular basis
¿ Review detailed monthly expenditures reports for each department, prepare adjusting entries as required and audit reports for coding errors and duplicate payments

Reporting
¿ Compile information for external & internal auditor as required
¿ Prepare reports with suppliers against analysis, accruals calendars etc


Record Keeping
¿ Ensure timely, accurately and complete record keeping of payments
¿ Ensure LPO¿s status change to CLOSED after the payments are made

Requirements
¿ Bachelor¿s Degree in Accounting, with professional qualification like CPA is a desired
¿ 2-3 years experience in accounting role
