Job description
This vacancy is with our Government Client, undertaking projects in oil & gas sector.Roles and Responsibilities:
¿ Management and close monitoring and supervision of IGD Project Marine Works Diving Operations by IGD EPC Contractor and to ensure that the subsea works carried out with full compliance with project methods and scope of work.
¿ Ensure suitable diving plant and equipment is supplied, inspected and complied with IMCA and other relevant regulations.
¿ Ensuring that there are sufficient personnel of the required grades in the diving team and all personnel are qualified and competent according to IMCA Guide lines /ADNOC code of practice for diving operation.
¿ Ensure that the diving plant and equipment is certified and properly maintained according to Contractor and IMCA PMS
¿ Ensuring that diving team are familiar with Work Plan/Scope Of Work/Diving System/Diving Procedures ,Safety and Emergency Procedures
¿ Ensuring that Diving to work permit system/Risk Assessment requirements ,client regulations and international standards are followed
¿ Identifies hazards in his area , assesses the risk , establishes improvements that are required to eliminate or reduce the risk(Risk Register)
¿ Ensuring that all work is carried out to the appropriate quality standards.
¿ Ensuring that the operation is carried out safely in accordance with the national legislation, client policy and other relevant standards.
¿ Implementing all safety measures required by the Client.
¿ Daily Progress Reporting to cover Operation and Safety activities
¿ Liaises with Senior Marine Advisor on all matters related to Diving Function.
¿ Ensures reporting, investigation and follow up of all accidents / near misses related to diving operations.
¿ Ensuring that diving emergency plans are maintained and major exercises and drills have been conducted.
¿ Monitors the quality and HSE performance of the operations through visible tours.
Qualifications:
o Diving Superintendant Certificate of Competency (IMCA)
o Certification covering engineering and construction methods
Experience:
o Minimum 10 years of offshore construction diving experience with adequate exposure to ports/jetty operations.
o Good knowledge of diving safety regulations, International Guide Lines for diving operations ¿IMCA¿ Guide Lines /ADNOC Code of practices for Diving operations.
o Adequate knowledge of offshore construction practices for ports and harbors
o Has the ability to review with fully understanding all project construction document, drawings, methods of statement and any other relative document.
? Leave cycle 5/2 (i.e. 5 days on Das Island followed by 2 days off in Abu Dhabi)
? Messing and bachelor accommodation are provided free of charge on the Island.
? Excellent sports/recreational club facilities on the Island.
