Job description
Mechanical Technician ¿ MaintenanceThis vacancy is for our client, undertaking projects in oil & gas sector
Scope of Duties:
¿ Carryout skilled maintenance works independently in the repair, assembly, alignment of mechanical equipment like exchangers, vessels, columns, boilers, structures and able to fabricate pipe work from isometric drawings.
¿ To be able to identify piping specs, gaskets, bolt nuts, valves etc and able to carry out the work on all the piping.
¿ Operates simple M/C tools such as grinding machines, drilling machines, impact wrenches etc.
¿ Able to take precision measurement using depth gauges, micrometer, vernier calipers etc. and must be able to work to very close tolerances.
¿ Prepares sketches/brief reports such as alignment, finished dimensions etc.
Minimum Requirements:
¿ Completion of Technical Secondary education (12 years) / Apprenticeship Certificate or equivalent.
¿ Candidate should have a minimum experience of 8 years in maintaining and overhauling Diesel engines.
¿ Fair knowledge of spoken and written English.
Work Location: Offshore, Abu Dhabi
90 days `ON¿ Das Island followed by 30 days `OFF¿
