Job description

Our client, an oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Occupational Health Data Controller

Purpose & Scope:
Assist in the periodic assessment of the operations with potential risk to human health. Corroborate the findings of periodic health check-up data to analyze any significant deviations from reference standards. Assist in the implementation of Occupational Health Management System as per ¿ADNOC Code of Practice¿ on health. Coordinate with the employees and departments for collection, maintenance & retrieval of OH data.

Main Duties
¿ Carries out periodic audit of workplace in order to identify prevailing health risks and the efficacy of the existing preventive measures
¿ Assist OH physician in carrying out quantitative assessment of Thermal Work limit in addition to the evaluation of hydration status & other risk factors for heat related illnesses especially in the summer months.
¿ Collect personal noise dose assessment data and along with daily activities of the concerned workforce in order to calculate the Daily Personal Exposure Level.
¿ Field data collection for airborne contaminants like welding fumes and sulphur compounds using continuous data logging equipment and indicator tubes.
¿ Provide assistance in conducting occupational hygiene monitoring for hazardous agents as per NIOSH, ACGIH & OSHA protocols.
¿ Qualitative and quantitative assessment of ergonomic factors for manual material handling operations in the shop floor and daily computer work in the offices.
¿ Collation & analysis of health surveillance data in order to detect any significant deviations attributed to the specific occupational risk factors in the workforce.
¿ Conduct training programs on first aid & Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to enhance emergency preparedness amongst the workplace.

Minimum Requirements
¿ Diploma in Health Sciences or equivalent.
¿ Minimum 6 years experience in chemical, oil & gas / petrochemical industry in the field of Occ. Health
¿ Familiarity with physical, chemical & ergonomic hazards in industrial operations.
¿ Ability to perform Occupational Health Risk Assessment of a given workplace.
¿ Good communication skills & command on English language.
¿ Good analytical skills in regard to health data management and establishing correlation in terms of occupational hazard and its impact on human health.
¿ Good computer skills involving office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
