Our client, a leading oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Engineering Coordinator

Scope of Duties

¿ Provides administrative support for the division manager and discipline department heads. Duties are varied and are intended to focus on high value work activities.
¿ Directs daily activities in the Engineering Division and is responsible for meeting engineering productivity objectives by overseeing engineering and design; and coordinating inter-disciplinary work.
¿ Regularly establishes the status of Engineering modifications; handles the exchange of data between disciplines; interfacing with procurement and construction; expediting routing of vendor documentation.
¿ Supports the audit process by ensuring availability of team members to respond in a timely and accurate manner to the requirements of the audit team. Supports EM/ AEM and/or Discipline Team Leaders in responding to the findings of the audit report and implementing the recommended changes.
¿ Responsible for ensuring engineering quality is achieved through formal procedures.
¿ Responsible for ensuring the design basis requirements are met through design validation and that the results are documented.
¿ Ensures all equipment on drawings and data sheets are properly identified with tag numbers for traceability throughout the project life-cycle.
¿ Coordinates with Process Licensors when proprietary technology from a process licensor is utilized on a project.
¿ Ensures engineering documentation is transferred to Data Management at completion of any modification.
¿ Coordinates with Data Management and ensures as-built mark-ups of construction drawings received from the construction contractor are revised to "As-Built" status.
¿ Liaises and coordinates activities with other Company Sections and Contractors
¿ Monitors progress in coordination with Job Officers and Planning Engineer
¿ Participating in the preparation of the final documentation and close out report.
¿ Participating in a formal review of the project with relevant parties, on completion, to identify opportunities for learning and development.
¿ Responsible for planning and organizing all engineering activities of any modification in coordination with the Job Officers and Planning Engineer.
¿ Coordinates the input required from all disciplines as and when requested by the Engineering Contractor.
¿ Identifying and reporting all problems and areas concern related to Engineering and initiating the necessary remedial action(s), in consultation with the division manager.
¿ Monitoring the timely submission of all engineering deliverables required.
¿ Assisting the Job Officers in resolving contractual related problems that might arise during execution and which require engineering input or changes in engineering execution plans.
¿ Collection of input required for the preparation of engineering reports.

Minimum Requirements
¿ B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
¿ 10 Years engineering, project and planning experience in petrochemical industry, including at least 5 years supervisory experience
¿ Capability to work as part of a team, leadership skills, sense of initiative and priority
¿ Good knowledge of spoken and written English
¿ Valid UAE Driving License (Preferably)
¿ Computer literate

Other Details
¿ Leave cycle: 5/2 (i.e. 5 days `on¿ Island followed by 2 days `off¿ in Abu Dhabi) with an annual leave of 38 days per year
¿ Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge while on the island
¿ Sports/recreational club facilities on the island.
