General Summary

Provides contract administration activities as required throughout the entire life cycle of various contracts which include but are not limited to engineering, procurement and construction contracts, service contracts, supply contracts, agreements and the like. Candidate will assist with activities which will include but not be limited to the preparation of tender enquiry documents, tender evaluation and award recommendation, preparation of contract documents, negotiation, advising on contractual matters, determination and establishing the reasonableness of contractor¿s claims and ultimate execution of contracts. Candidate will also assist with the commercial and contractual management of a number of assigned contracts within Company Procedures, legal requirements and other relevant specifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)\

¿ Provides contract administration assistance and project support to Emirates Steel departments throughout all stages of the contract(s).

¿ Involved with the preparation of pre tender enquiry documents based on work scope (provided by others) and other requirements in accordance with company policy.

¿ Involved with commercial and contractual evaluation including analysis of quoted rates and prices, contractual qualifications and their effect on the final cost.

¿ Attends pre award meetings, clarifications and negotiation with bidders prior to signature and finalization of the formal contract with the contractors.

¿ Assists with Commercial Evaluation and preparation of package of Award Recommendation documents including Letter of Award for approval by the competent authority in line with the Company¿s delegation of authorities procedure.
¿ Involved with the preparation of the formal contract document in accordance with company procedures.

¿ Provides supporting services when required in the administration and interpretation of contracts after contract award.

¿ Attends regular meetings pertaining to contract activities.

¿ Carries out other related or similar duties when assigned, such as examination of variations, claims, extension of time requests and other contract administration issues, as and when required

¿ General Contract Administration

Minimum Education Qualifications
¿ Bachelors degree in a related discipline
¿ Trained and Certified in administration.

Professional Experience (Must haves)
? 5 ¿ 10 years experience in a relevant position- Steel manufacturing company
? Working experience in any of the Middle-east countries (familiar with rules and regulations, climatic conditions¿)
? Health & Safety compliance systems
