Job description

Our client an oil and gas company is looking forward to recruit Technical Clerk for their Drilling Division

Scope of Work

Technical Input
¿ Collects and complies a variety of technical data related to plant and equipment and maintains/updates records
¿ Abstracts/searches for technical information from available documents/files upon request and passes to concerned engineers
¿ Compiles and distributes information and data change requests to concerned personnel and collects necessary feedback for updating data
¿ Checks, verifies and compares various data/reports against original documents and advises of discrepancies

Computer Input
¿ Inputs data related to plants and equipment into the system and retrieves/produces reports as and when required
¿ Classifies data for proper updating in the maintenance management system
¿ Utilises the Departments maintenance computerised records to update related information
¿ Provides computer support services to the Department Engineers by furnishing required computerised data
¿ Assists in preparing reports and data tables for system periodical reporting
¿ Checks for the inclusion of new data entries and makes required corrections

Other Related Duties
¿ Performs other related such as: ensuring safe custody of updated records, files and manuals, providing necessary information to Passport support engineers and answering queries

Minimum Requirements
¿ Secondary education certificate followed by 1 year formal training in computer operations
¿ 3 years experience of clerical work in an engineering/maintenance activities in an oil company / industry
¿ Good knowledge of English
