Financial Controller
Region: Near/Middle East & Africa

The candidate will work in the Regional Head Office for the Region Near/Middle East & Africa. The RHO consists of currently 40 employees. He/she will be the key player in the annual budget process and midterm planning, analyzing and interpreting month end results for regional management and report key statistical figures to Group Head office in Germany. The candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer Region Near/Middle East & Africa.

Job Description:

¿ Responsible for analyzing and interpreting month end results for regional management and reporting of key statistical figures to Group Head Office
¿ Timely monthly reporting of statistical information into Group systems
¿ Key player in the annual budget process and mid-term planning. Work with regional and country management to produce detailed budgets. Review, consolidate and report into Group systems
¿ Analyze and interpret investment applications for new projects (CAPEX)
¿ Analyze and interpret of Credit Limit Applications
¿ Involved in the production of updated forecasts of the current year. Reporting these in the Group system
¿ Assist with implementing process improvements and procedure documentation within the department
¿ Support country organizations in all financial issues
¿ Build strong working relationships between the RHO and the country organizations
¿ Project work as required

Requirements:
The role requires an individual who does not only have strong analytical skills but is also proactive.
The candidate needs to be willing to travel within the region.

Essential skills:
¿ Previous experience in Finance/Accounting/Controlling from Logistics/ Freight Industry experience
¿ Strong analytical and review skills to interpret financial data
¿ Budgeting and forecasting experience desirable
¿ Advanced MS Office skills (esp. Excel and PowerPoint)
¿ Knowledge of SAP FI/CO desirable
¿ Strong communication skills
¿ A positive attitude and a pro-active approach
¿ Enthusiastic when working as part of a team, with the ability to make a valid contribution to a shared goal
¿ Ability to work to strict deadlines
¿ Very good knowledge of the English language (both written & spoken)
¿ Ability to work with different cultures
