This vacancy is for our client, Leading Steel Manufacturing Company based in Abu Dhabi, UAETalent Management & Career Development Officer reports to the Head of Training & Career Development. Career Development Officer is required to develop the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees skills so that they can fulfill their potential within the organization. Manages the learning and professional development of Company¿s workforce which gives the employees a better understanding, practical skills and motivation to carry out particular work-related tasks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
Career Development:
¿ Ensure the designing and development programs based on both the organisations and the individuals best needs.
¿ Considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any career development programme is becoming increasingly important.
¿ Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation, such as line managers, department as a whole as well as the company in attaining its man power plans.
¿ Devising individual learning plans which suit each level for in-house courses in collaboration with various departments depending upon the requirements of each job/section/department and devising a career development strategy for the organisation.
¿ Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers with a view to ensure their capability to take up a future position and arrange further trainings to bridge the gaps.
¿ Evaluating the effectiveness of the training and development programs and make necessary amendments or modifications if required.
¿ Helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
¿ Keeping up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
¿ Provide information and assistance about career development to all employees.
¿ Design and update periodically employment training history card.
¿ Registering students from educational institutions and campuses by obtaining the required informations at different levels and specifying Company¿s intake procedures.
¿ Organise for Career Fair brochures, gifts and invitations as a marketing strategy to attract prospected candidates as well as to market Company¿s trademark.
¿ Update scholarship guidelines and work placement of students in company.
¿ To develop and organise National Development Program and Individual Development Program to all UAE National Trainees / employees.
¿ Succession Planning for Executive Management which involves processing of career development requests from Section Head. Management Programs (short term and long term) to be determined through vendors/training providers.
¿ Develop and organize Individual Development Plan Program for all UAE National Staff Trainees
¿ Developing IDP forms, related documents and implementing policy with regards to career development program
¿ Deliver IDP presentation program for new hires
¿ Develop individual development plan for each trainees in alignment with their Job Description and target position
¿ Prepare department wise TNA based on the training request mentioned in the IDP
¿ Frequent meetings with trainees and their respective department members to understand the progress of the trainees
¿ Carry out Interim review of the ISP by one to one meeting with all trainees and department managers
¿ Coordinate with Training Officer for the request of in house or external training courses for the trainees as per IDP
¿ Updation of employees files, IDP reports and shared folders for all the trainees
¿ Prepare Management Information Report and other schedules on a weekly basis as directed by the Head of Training and Career Development
¿ Carry out Year End review of IDP by one to one meetings with all trainees and department managers
¿ Initiate closure of IDP upon successful completion of IDP program of individual trainee
¿ Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in career development
¿ Entire responsibilities taken up with regard to coordination, implementation of training program with different Training providers, Universities or Institutes for development of UAE National Trainees (e.g. NDP Program with Danieli, VEDC Program related to IDP)
Talent Management:
¿ Lead and align Talent Management objectives with corporate goals to provide positive operational and functional outcomes
¿ Organize workshop and interview settings to identify Talent Management processes that can be enhanced through the use of technology-based solutions.
Determine Talent Management individuals for prioritization and development through executive workshops to facilitate evaluation, selection, and negotiation processes on behalf of Training
¿ Review Company¿s current Talent infrastructure as well recommends ways to reduce/avoid costs and to deliver positive business value through better management of the workforce.
¿ Assist S.H. Training and Career Development to develop business cases for Talent Management technology investments and/or process changes.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
¿ Custodian of all training files.
¿ To develop a comprehensive training program that encompasses all the elements required for training and development in order to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce to fulfil the needs of the organisation.

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)
University degree in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration, Management, or related field
Professional Experience (Must haves) Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)
¿ 3-5 years experience in Training and Career Development Section
¿ 2+ Years in Career Development Supervision ¿ Understanding of e-learning techniques
¿ Career and education planning and development
¿ Understanding of and experience with administrative systems, HR systems, and their application
Key Performance Indicators
¿ Get students through resource optimization per semester.
¿ Campaign management for each semester.
¿ Pre arranging and participating for any career fair activity especially in educational institutions.
¿ Promoting through summer training and open day training.
Working Conditions
¿ Working Schedule: 8am ¿ 4pm (Sunday to Thursday)
