Our client, a steel manufacturing company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Contract Management Officer

The Contract Management officer is responsible for all managing and ensuring compliance with contract conditions including expert advice throughout the entire contract lifecycle. Ensure conformity to contract terms and conditions, advising upon and, if required, negotiating selective changes leading to approved variation orders/contract amendments.

Manages the fulfillment of and compliance with contractual obligations up to successful contract closure. Provides expert contractual and commercial advice to the relevant departments and internal stakeholders of the company throughout all stages of the operation of the contracts.

Responsibilities
¿ Ensures modifications, amendments or changes are properly documented in writing and agreed upon by the contractor and management
¿ Ensures satisfactory closure of contracts on their completion
¿ If required provide advice and assistance during the process of commercial evaluation leading to contract award
¿ Leads the development and implementation of a Contract Review program across all Category portfolios, ensuring a regular formal review of compliance by the Supplier with the contract terms and conditions
¿ Provides commercial support within the Procurement and Logistics team in the establishment and management of procedures
¿ Provides expert advice and recommendations on contracting strategies in line with the approved company procedures
¿ Provides expert advice to the Strategic Sourcing team in the administration and interpretation of contractual conditions after contract award
¿ Reviews all contract related correspondence and flags those bearing commercial implications and likely leading to claims, variations and disputes, and initiates meetings to resolve same
¿ Reviews and responds to RFP¿s and RFQ¿s including contract terms and conditions and participates in meetings to ensure understanding of contractual requirements
¿ Reviews, assesses and collaborates in the preparation of the letter of award and contract documents
¿ Reviews, assesses and collaborates in the preparation of variation orders or amendments

Minimum Requirements
Candidate should posses Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain management/Purchasing, Business, Finance or Engineering. Professional certification: CIPS, CPM, APICS, P.E. is beneficial.
Should have 5 years minimum working experience in similar field
