Station Officer

This vacancy is for our client, a government oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The work location is offshore with 4 weeks ON/ 4 weeks OFF.

Job Accountabilities
¿ Lead a team engaged in fire fighting and actively participate in fire-fighting and emergency activities (this includes issuing instructions, starting pumps, regulating pressures and using hose and extinguishers).
¿ Participate in the regular drills on fire prevention and fire-fighting (this includes briefing subordinates and other company and contractors personnel on emergency regulations and procedures and on the use and effectiveness of fire-fighting equipment and safety systems).
¿ Undertake daily maintenance and testing work of a variety of fire-fighting, safety and emergency equipment and complete various reports connected with maintenance work and present verbal reports on problems encountered.
¿ Undertake job watch activities and standby with fire extinguishers during permitted hot work; and undertake gas test when required, prior to authorizing commencement of work. Report any incidents of incorrect work practices or procedures differing from those detailed in the Permit to Work.
¿ Undertake other stand-by duties such as during aircraft and helicopter landing and take-off, the loading and unloading of supply boats, (particularly where Inflammable materials are involved), and during sensitive or dangerous crane operations in the plant,
¿ Undertake other similar or related duties such as completing activity reports, pollution control work and carrying out security inspections and checks as instructed,
¿ Plan fire safety exercise to control small fires.
¿ Direct and monitor fire safety training exercises involving small fires.

Qualifications:
¿ NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter professional qualifications/ NFPA 1003 Airport Fire Fighter professional qualifications / NFPA 600 Industrial Fire Brigades / NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Professional.
¿ 5-10 years total experience in Oil & Gas Industry
¿ Should have Computer Skills, Management and Command Skills, ICS Training recommended
¿ Valid Driving License
