Job description

This vacancy is for our client, French Collaboration Company based in Qatar

Activities:
General:
- Be the lead for the development and the execution of the SS05 and HIPPS upgrade project
- Be the focus point of contact for any technical aspect associated with these subjects
- Be the focus point of contact with QP for the project specific aspects throughout all project phases.
- Liaise with the Corporate technical division and the technical entities for any technical points linked to the project
- Ensure that the HSE aspects are properly highlighted and covered through all phases of the project in line with the Company rules
- Ensure that the safety design company rules are fully considered in the design of the facilities
- Be responsible of the application of company standards to the project
- Ensure that the project approval process as per Company internal rules is well followed for the project
- Ensure adequate reporting throughout the project phases as required

Particular aspects:
- 1rst phase: perform a conceptual study

For SS5:
o Perform gap analysis for the substation to define standards upgrade requirements
o Perform an HAZID and use it as an input to the upgrade functional requirement for SS5
o Screen and evaluate the various options for each SS5 upgrade requirement
o Evaluate for each involved technical discipline the possible alternatives and possible innovations
o Highlight and identify internal and external interfaces and impact of proposed concepts
o Evaluate the implications of the construction and commissioning aspects on the concept to select
o Assess the risks for the project
o Propose and justify a final scenario for the project
o Elaborate a safety concept brief for the project based on the proposed scenario
o Develop the conceptual study for the selected scenario and prepare the basis of design / SOR for the FEED phase

For HIPPS:
o Summarize current HIPPS evaluation and identify gaps with requirements as input to the design
o Identify all various HIPPS options to meet requirements
o Use the support of third party specialist company to investigate all options and technical possibilities
o Evaluate each option from a technical, cost and constructability point of view
o Select and justify the most viable solution
o Evaluate the proposed solution from design, construction, commissioning, safety, operating, maintenance point of view
o Propose and develop a conceptual design based on the selected solution and prepare HIPPS Dossier on this basis
o Identify all interface and input requirement for the SS5 upgrade in connection with the HIPPS
o Prepare HIPPS SOR and basis of design for the FEED

- 2nd Phase: FEED (SS5 and HIPPS)
o Prepare the call for tender for the FEED phase
o Launch the FEED and be the CY lead for the FEED execution
o Ensure technical consistency of the FEED results
o Prepare dossiers for EPCI phase calls for tenders in accordance with approved project execution strategy
o Identify possible LLI and organize procurement accordingly
o Define project execution strategy
o Identify any HSE particular risks and take them into account in FEED deliverable (in particular SIMOPS situations)
o Develop project execution schedule with due consideration to possible interferences with production
o Prepare dossier for Company project sanction (cost/Risks/schedule/project strategy)

- 3rd Phase: execution ¿ EPCI (SS5 and HIPPS)
o Issue EPCI phase call(s) for tender(s) in accordance with project execution strategy
o Initiate LLI procurement if required by project execution strategy
o Act as the Cy representative for the contracts linked to the EPCI phase
o Plan and implement CY organization for the different phases of the project execution
o Report cost, risks, planning, progress to the upper management
o Implement HSE management system for the project and issue a dedicated HSE plan
o Prepare, organize and supervise the offshore campaign
o Issue a final close-out report for the whole project

Qualification/Experience/Education:

- Technical skills in instrumentation engineering
- Oil & gas and if possible Offshore background
- Process and safety design knowledge
- Experience in projects ¿ Engineering & execution phases
- Potential for technical subjects management and coordination
- Graduated engineer or equivalent grade in university with 10 years minimum experience in the industry.
