This vacancy is for a government oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Job Role Summary:
The Application Support Analyst job role would be part of the IT Department of the company and classified as an IT-Specialist. The Ideal candidate to be a knowledgeable & experienced primarily on the usage, configuration, administration latest versions of PowerBuilder, MS SQL Server 2003/2006, MS Access and Crystal Reports on the Windows 2003/2008 Platform. To work, closely with other members of the IT team and business users in order to manage successfully the ongoing support / development of day-to-day issues as per the IT Policy and procedure guidelines of the company.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
1. B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.Sc. Computer Applications or equivalent.
2. Should have minimum 6+ years of hands on experience,
3. Good development experience in MS Windows environment.
4. Good experience to all applications development life stages starting from but not limited to, business & user requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, training and documentation.
5. Good knowledge of Object Oriented Technology, 3 tier Web Server Configuration &
Development.
6. Excellent knowledge and experience of relational OBMSs that includes Oracle I0g & above, MS SQL Server 2005/2008.
7. Excellent Knowledge and Experience in Development of Applications using PowerBuilder, MS Access and Crystal Reports.
8. Good experience in installation, configuration and administration of MS SQL Server 2005/2008 and above.
9. High level of English proficiency & Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
