Job description
Our client, a Government Company is looking forward to recruit suitable candidates for the above position.Reporting to the Fire & Rescue Shift Supervisor, you will be part of Loss Prevention Function team and you will be responsible for:
¿ Implementing fire-fighting/rescue/recovery strategies by assigned Fire Crew Team and equipment during emergency situations that make safe, proper and efficient use of assigned resources for given tasks.
¿ Ensuring that tools and equipment assigned to the Fire Crew Team are adequate to the given tasks and used in accordance to manufacturers recommendations and the Company procedures / guidelines.
¿ Executing daily routine activities such as: inspections, maintenance jobs, testing, standby, housekeeping and drills - as instructed by Fire & Rescue Shift Supervisor for the assigned Fire Crew Team - by work scheduling, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinates.
¿ Implementing contingency plans in a case of failure or unavailability of any part of the plant fire protection system or equipment as per company procedures.
¿ Performing Fire Safety Surveys and Task Risk Assessments to ensure that fire and life safety hazards are identified, recommendations for their corrections are made and unresolved issues are reported.
¿ Participating in reviews of SOP, SOG, polices, and work instructions pertaining to the Fire & Rescue Team activities.
¿ Maintaining accurate records, preparing reports and composing correspondence related to the work.
¿ Following on call duties during off hours as per Company policy.
¿ Acting as Fire & Rescue Supervisor during his unavailability.
¿ Acting as a mentor for Fire & Rescue Team trainees.
Minimum Requirements
¿ Fire Officer Level 1 certificate (acc. to NFPA 1021) or equivalent competency.
¿ Minimum 8 years experience in Fire & Rescue line positions, including 3 years on position as a Lead Firefighter.
¿ Very good physical fitness level allows actively participate in emergency response activities and live fire drills.
¿ Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with good ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.
¿ Computer MS Office software users knowledge and experience.
¿ Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
