Job Purpose:A financial manager is responsible for providing financial advice and support to clients and colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions. Specific work environments vary considerably and include both public and private sector organizations, such as multinational corporations, retailers, financial institutions, NHS trusts, charities, small manufacturing companies and universities.
Financial considerations are at the root of all major business decisions. Clear budgetary planning is essential for short and long-term future planning, and companies need to know the financial implications of any decision before proceeding. In addition, care must be taken to ensure that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations.
Financial managers may also be known as financial analysts or business analysts.

Priniciple Accountabilities:
- Making business plan for various projects and products and plants
- Preparing the yearly budgeting of the company and its brand offices
- Preparing the list of assets of the company and all branch offices
- Preparing the list of fix expenses of the company and all branch offices
- Preparing the profit and lost analysis of the company and branch offices
- Preparing reporting system between the head office and the branch offices etc.
- Providing and interpreting financial information;
- Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends;
- Analyzing change and advising accordingly;
- Formulating strategic and long-term business plans;
- Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance;
- Analyzing competitors and market trends;
- Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk;
- Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
- Managing a company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
- Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out;
- Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. Auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue.
- Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines;
- Managing budgets;
- Arranging new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities;
- Supervising staff;
- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
- The unavoidable, externally imposed conditions under which the work must be performed and which create hardship for the incumbent including the frequency and duration of occurrence of physical demands, environmental conditions, demands on ones senses and mental demands.

- The Finance Manager will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
Environmental Conditions:

- The incumbent is located in a busy office. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
- The nature of demands on the incumbents senses
- The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer conducting financial analysis and preparing detailed reports which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Conditions that may lead to mental or emotional fatigue
- The Director of Finance must meet several deadlines and will have to manage a number of requests and situations at one time. Stress may be caused by the need to complete tasks within tight deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Knowledge | Graduation In Commerce | Experience | 10 years work experience as Finance Manager or Chief Finance Manager in recognized companies. |
Skills | The candidate shall have at least 5 years of work experience with Tally software. | Attributes | Flair for taking New Challenges |
