Our client, an Engineering Company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Operations Manager

Job Summary
Plan, direct, coordinate or budget usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the projects and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling and implementation.

Key Responsibility Areas
1.Initiate a project
¿ Nominate Project Manager
¿ Oversee planning organization and mobilization of a new project
¿ Approve and oversee the preparation of Baseline Programme with all stake holders.
¿ Attend Kick off meeting with client/ consultant
¿ Follow up and Monitor work progress with the Baseline Programme.

2.Manage and oversee the project budget process
¿ Approve the project budget within the agreed budget cycle time frame
¿ Submit the final budget to the GM and Board for final approval as per agreed cycle time frame
¿ Monitor and report on spending against the budget on a monthly basis
¿ Analyze and investigate variance report and provide feedback on report to the GM on a monthly basis
¿ Communicate the report findings to the business and agree on corrective actions on a monthly basis

3.Manage and oversee projects
¿ Coordinate and approve final prices with Procurement and make sure orders are within Budget.
¿ Coordinate with plant and workshops for Equipment and Machinery.
¿ Coordinate with Finance for Cash flow.
¿ Make sure payment certificates are prepared on time.
¿ Review and Monitor the cost control reports to make sure project is running within allocated Budget.
¿ Monitor and Control expenses and review different cost reports from projects, procurement, and other Departments.
¿ Coordinate with Various departments to make sure full support is provided to the projects.
¿ Meet clients / consultant.
¿ Initiate monthly meetings with all Head of Departments and Project Managers.
¿ Prepare monthly reports for the GM and the Board.

4.Manage and oversee the health and safety at project level
¿ Ensure that the project management team is conforming to health and safety requirements in line with the company requirements by providing the necessary training, guidelines and systems
¿ Develop and implement safe working practices to minimize accidents
¿ Ensure that health and safety assessment reports are complete and maintained and site procedures comply with the health and safety act and the company procedures
¿ Conduct incident follow-up investigations to ensure they are closed effectively
¿ Assess reported health and safety data and provide feedback with recommendations for corrective action as applicable
¿ Conduct regular site audits and advise on any corrective actions to be taken
¿ Liaise with enforce authorities to ensure that all their requirements have being met
¿ Provide monthly feedback to the GM each month on the overall compliance with the health and safety requirements

5.Interaction with prospective clients
¿ Look for prospective clients in coordination with the Business Development Manager.
¿ Attend Business Development meetings on Management level with the prospective clients whenever required.

Minimum Requirements
¿ Degree in Engineering, PMP Certified is a Plus
¿ 10 ¿ 15 years Experience in managing large numbers of people on construction sites
