Job title: Senior Civil Engineer

The job opening is with one of our prestigious clients which is a government company in Oil and Gas.

Job location: Al Maqtaa
Candidates located in Al Maqtaa/Abu dhabi will be given preference though candidates from UAE/other countries can also apply.

Minimum Requirements : Graduate in Civil Engineering with minimum of 10 years experience in the civil engineering field.

Additional Requirements : Minimum 05 years experience in Oil and Gas Sector Engineering Consultancy support, familiar with industry engineering standards and best practices.

Job responsibilities:
-To provide technical expertise and engineering support to all plants/sites , Pipeline,Technical and Major projects Divisions related to civil discipline, and to ensure the compliance with the standards.
-The Senior Civil Engineer reports to the Principal Civil Engineer with the Senior Structural Engineer.
-To check that the development of all engineering design work are at optimum levels, uniform, standardized and compatible. Ensure that a high-class engineering specifications, standards and procedures are implemented on all phases of Projects (Feasibility, Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC) and that the delivered facilities at site are safe, reliable and maintainable.
-To review / check the Pre-FEED / Feed Documents and Design Packages prepared by the Consultants and Contractors , to ensure its compliance.
-To review and approve the drawings, specifications, material submittals and other technical documents.
-To review and approve the design change requests, concession requests, waiver to project specifications and to participate in the technical analysis of claims and variations impacting the costs or/and schedule.
-To provide technical expertise support and participate in projects activities related to development of the execution strategies, bids evaluation for various phases, the review of pre-qualification of Engineer/ Contractors/Vendors, preparation of bidders list, review of CVs of engineering staff of FEED/PMC/EPC Contractors, commissioning and handover of project facilities to End Users.
-To carry out the required in-house civil design and engineering works, including the structural analysis / modelling , reinforced concrete design , preparation of design drawings, provision of technical / standard details , bill of quantities , etc.
-To assist the plants in the troubleshooting of maintenance problems related to civil/structural installations as well as participating in root causes analysis of any structure /installation failure.
