Our client, a leading petrochemical company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Senior Engineer ¿ Projects

JOB OBJECTIVE:
Co-ordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Plans schedules, conducts and co-ordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices. Ensures effective communication and co-ordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants. Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants and that the requirements of the contracts are being satisfied.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
¿ Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and co-ordinating the technical and management of projects.
¿ Preparation of project engineering schedules and forecasts
¿ Co-ordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
¿ Preparation of monthly project status and change orders.
¿ Participating in contractor meetings and resolving engineering and management project issues.
¿ Review and approve invoices of the project contractor.
¿ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer generated reports.
¿ Ensure all design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner in compliance to international codes and standards.
¿ Co-ordinate with other engineers from all disciplines including external agencies such as PMC, EPC contractors, licensors & suppliers etc.
¿ Ensure all engineering works on the projects assigned is carried out within established budgets and schedules.
¿ Prepare Scope definition, estimation and progress control of all engineering activities.
¿ Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Projects Manager.
¿ Review all Project Documentation relevant to the discipline and documents issued for inter-discipline checks. Provides recommendations to the Project from the development of FEED till smooth integrated operation of existing and new facilities
¿ Participate and provide vital inputs in HSE review, 3D-Model review, HAZOP and value engineering reviews based on the End user requirement and in-depth plant knowledge, Codes and Standards and experience.
¿ Follow up and co-ordinate all activities during Construction phases.
¿ Originate, follow up Punch lists till close out.
¿ Prepare/review SPIR, PFS and compile all documentation relevant to spare parts procurement in close co-ordination with the Contractors.
¿ Provide all necessary assistance to the contractor during commissioning and start up phases.
¿ Comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
¿ To provide On Job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE fresh graduates.

Work Contacts
Internally:
Daily contact with Engineers & Projects Manager. Occasional contact with Plant Engineers
Externally:
Daily Contact with PMC, EPC contractors, Suppliers and other agencies involved in projects execution.
Occasional contacts with equal level employees in Group of Companies for exchange of information on matters of mutual concern

Minimum Requirements
¿ B.Sc. Degree in Engineering from a reputed institution.
¿ 12 Years Experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Industries.
¿ Good knowledge of written and spoken English language.
¿ Analytical thinking, time management.
¿ Good knowledge of engineering standards and design software.
