Our client, a Petrochemical company based in Ruwais is looking forward to recruit Electrical Planner

Basic Function:

Prepares and schedules maintenance jobs for preventive, breakdown and turnaround Electrical maintenance activities. Ensures the required sketches / drawings, tools spares and materials are available to carry out the various jobs before they are scheduled. Follows up on the execution of Electrical maintenance schedules, coordinating as necessary with Operation and Electrical Maintenance team. Receives technical advice and direction from Section Head and Planning Engineers as necessary, especially for critical, major and recurring maintenance problems.

Work Performed:
¿ Receives work requests for Electrical maintenance from Operations, other Maintenance or Plant Departments and ensures all required information is available. As necessary, visits proposed work locations in Plant to check extent of work and to ensure proper identification of parts and / or materials required to complete the jobs. In case of non - availability of spares, inform concerned Engineer and Warehouse for expediting.
¿ Prepares sketches or obtains actual drawings of equipment and verifies that the required tools, spare parts and materials are available in stock, before jobs are scheduled.
¿ Schedules all preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs after ensuring that manpower, tools, spares, lifting equipment etc¿ are available to carry out the work. Provides maintenance work request forms to other maintenance sections, giving full detail s of work to be carried out.
¿ Maintains the complete information on backlog job pending due to such reasons as manpower and material availability, shutdown, etc¿ and follows up with Warehouse and Electrical Engineer to avoid undue delays. Assists Planning Engineer in preparing Monthly Backlog /Status Reports indicating reasons, and suggests means to control the same.
¿ Prepares all turnaround jobs based on the information given by the Operations and other Plant Departments concerned.
¿ Monitors progress of the Shutdown / Turnaround and provide feedback to Planning Engineers for preparing the daily progress report of the outage. Identifies bottlenecks hampering progress and recommends measures for rectification. Post outage participates in the preparation of Turnaround report.
¿ Reviews information on hours worked including overtime and lost man-hours. Provides these statistics to Engineers in Maintenance Planning Section on monthly basis for preparation of various performance reports.
¿ Complies with all safety and fire rules and regulations, including the use of protective clothing and equipment, and ensures that all personnel working in his area comply with safety regulations.
¿ Receives from Electrical Maintenance Section, Operations, Inspection, Warehouse all required information and data for up-to-date technical and history files.

Minimum Requirements:
¿ Completion of Secondary (12 Years) education followed by a technical diploma course of associate Engineer in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic Institute.
¿ 8 Years maintenance experience in a Petrochemical or Fertilizer Plant with a 6 month familiarization period in the Planning Section.
