Our client, undertaking oil and gas projects is looking forward to recruit Structural Engineer for their project based in China

Qualifications
¿ Bachelors Degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
¿ PhD or MSc (preferred)
¿ Engineering License

Experience
¿ Extensive practical Structures or Subsea Engineering experience of structures for onshore oil & gas projects, including:
¿ Experience of working in a design role
¿ Previous experience in a Lead position would be an advantage
¿ Overseas work experience would be an advantage, particularly in Far East countries

Technical Knowledge/Skills
Comprehensive knowledge in the following areas:
¿ Detailed design of structures for onshore oil & gas projects
¿ Preparation of structural design basis and design reports
¿ Equipment and structural layouts,
¿ Selection, sizing and specification of materials and equipment including structure, mud mats, piles, and other ancillary needs
¿ Structural design
¿ Dynamic analysis
¿ Geotechnical and foundations design
¿ Seismic engineering (preferred)
¿ Cathodic protection and coatings design
¿ Material specifications and installation procedures and specifications
¿ International codes & standards
¿ Procurement support (MTOs, etc)
¿ Man-hour summaries and progress reporting
¿ Man-hour estimates for new projects

Personal Competencies
¿ Communicate effectively in technical English
¿ Supervise and direct engineers & designers
¿ Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment
¿ Familiarity with Microsoft Office and pipeline design applications

Qualifications (Educational/Professional):
¿ A formal engineering qualification (Diploma/Degree) would be an advantage.
¿ A background in Project Engineering in onshore oil and gas industries.

Experience:
¿ At least 8 years previous experience of project planning.
