Job description

This vacancy is with our client, oil & gas company based in Abu Dhabi.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
¿ To prepare, update and maintain systems and procedures relating to Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress measurement, Progress reporting and Progress trending.
¿ To develop Planning & scheduling. Progress Measurement and Progress Reporting requirements and to incorporate them into the Tenders / Agreements (FEED, EPC, PMC).
¿ To assist in evaluating the technical bids (PMC, FEED, EPC,) with a view to ascertain compliance to the specified requirements and to prepare relevant potion of the Technical Evaluation Report, as a member of the evaluation team.
¿ To make in-depth review and analysis of all submittals from Contractors (FEED, EPC, PMC,) relating to Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Reporting, Time Analysis, Project Resources Loading, Critical Path, Productivity, Compliance with Work Breakdown Structure, Production of "What If" scenarios & individual plans to suit both company and Contractors, includes verification and certification of physical progress claimed by the contractors for payment purposes.
¿ To monitor the reported progress and schedule status, identify the Areas of concern impacting the progress and schedule of the projects and to advise the Project Management Team on the proposed corrective actions.
¿ To identify critical and sub-critical activities of the project and to analyze their impact on the overall completion schedule considering the actual status and trends.
¿ To prepare summary schedules for all new projects with a view to establish the likely project durations based on the overall plan of execution.
¿ To assist the Principal Planning Engineer in the review of resource deployment by contractors for determining their adequacy for meeting the schedule and recommend enhancements if required.
¿ To assist the Principal Planning Engineer in identifying well in advance, the bottlenecks in achieving the planned progress by evaluating the progress trends and to propose corrective actions to recover/minimize the slippages.
¿ To assist the Principal Planning Engineer in evaluating Variation requests / Claims on extension of project schedules made by Contractors and to make appropriate recommendations to Management for approval.
¿ To participate in commercial negotiations and planned meetings with the Contractors.
¿ To provide planning & scheduling input for TP Division Budget & 5 Year Business Plans preparation and periodic updates and forecasts.
¿ To provide input & updates for Weekly / Monthly Progress Reports and periodic presentations to Management.

Minimum Requirements:
¿ Bachelor Degree Engineering or similar with extensive experience in pipeline projects
¿ Should have good familiarity in all Planning softwares
¿ At least 5 years of specialist Planning and Scheduling experience on projects with specific experience contract management software
¿ Reviewing and approving contractors work program submissions
¿ GCC experience is preferred
¿ Experience in both pre-construction and construction stages, On-site background and good experience in pre-construction stages
