Purpose and Scope

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for verifying product conformance and quality system compliance by ensuring all procedures and work instructions are fully implemented

Responsibilities and Duties
¿ Shall ensure all inspection and tests are conducted and documented in accordance with the requirements (i.e. procedure / specification)
¿ Preparation and control of Inspection and Test Plans and Work Procedures.
¿ Internal Auditing including corrective action verification and NCR close out.
¿ Co-ordination with Project Managers and Job Officers
¿ Co-ordination with client and inspection authorities
¿ The QA/QC Inspector shall deputise for the QHSE Manager in his absence.

General
¿ Recommend improvements to departmental policy and implement procedures and controls covering all areas of QHSE function, so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality and cost effective service to customers.
¿ Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across QHSE function to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
¿ Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Job Specifications

1. Qualification, Knowledge, Experience

a) Academic Qualification & Professional Qualification
¿ Engineering degree or diploma in electrical engineering or ¿equivalent¿ education and work experience

b) Experience (minimum preferred)
¿ Minimum five years QA/QC and/or inspection experience

2. Technical Requirements
¿ Additional training in Internal Auditing and Safety at work
¿ Computer Literate ¿ MS Windows
¿ Appropriately trained Internal Auditor
¿ Experience in installation, testing & commissioning electrical systems
¿ Ability to read single line drawings
