This vacancy is with our client, undertaking projects in oil & gas sector.
Basic Function & Scope:

This position with provide DCS Engineering support in during detailed engineering of the various project packages. The successful candidate will provide Engineering support to the Operations Team Leaders and the Shah Operations team during the project the project EPC and startup phases to ensure operational readiness. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating DCS Engineering in preparation for operations activities. Upon completion of the project, this position may assume responsibility for the DCS system engineering for the Shah Sour Gas Plant and Pipeline Systems.
Task, Duties and Accountabilities:
The key responsibilities of this position include:

¿ Meet regularly and maintain good working relationships with the DCS Engineers in the EPC contractor organizations
¿ Supports and works the Operability Assurance plan and program to achieve readiness for operations and proper project input
¿ Deals primarily with the following systems:
? DCS System and Training Simulator
¿ Engineering / Construction Activities for the EPC contract
? Site Surveys
? Vendor Lists
? Control Philosophy
? ESD Philosophy
? Material Requisitions
? I/O Allocation verification
? Control Room Layout
? Project specifications
? Engineering Narratives
? Scope of work
? Loop diagrams
? Hookup diagrams
? ESD Hierarchy diagrams
? Site Survey reports
? Interface Schedules
? Providing details for RFIs
? Pre-Commissioning procedures
? Vendor drawing review and comment
? Participation in P&ID / HAZOP / LOPA / SIL reviews
? Take part in FAT/ Sat tests
? Participate in system loop checks
? SPIR reviews
? Reviews and follow-up of hand-over documentations ( eg: Operations/Maintenance manuals, CMMS data etc)
¿ Operability Assurance Activities during Engineering and Construction
¿ Ensures standardization across the EPC packages in the development of the DCS system and processes required for start-up and operations
¿ Coordinates follow-up actions from Controls portion of the maintenance quality systems

Work Contacts:
¿ Report to Plant Area Operation Superintendent/Department Manager
¿ Regular contacts with Plant in Charge and Department Head, Superintendent assigned personnel
Latitude (Independence of Operation)
Determine own methods according to established policy, practice and specialized professional/technical standards. Completed assignments are subject to general review and direction.

Supervisory Responsibility:
As per organization chart and personnel assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
¿ Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent degree with work experience in specialized DCS System Engineering
¿ Experience in preparation for operations in projects
¿ Experience in onshore remote/ desert operations
¿ Experience in H2S operations
¿ Proven and strong interpersonal, influence and negotiation skills
¿ Willingness to relocate during the engineering and construction phases
¿ Self-starter and highly organized individual
¿ Ability to work with and influence at different levels of the organization
¿ Strong oral and written communication skills
