Our client, a leading oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Laboratory Section Head

Task, Duties and Accountabilities
¿ To direct and ensure the analytical activities in the Plant Laboratory in line with International Standard Analytical Methods and HSE aspects
¿ To issue all Process Streams and Final Product Reports from Laboratory so that Production Planning Section can optimize final product qualities
¿ To monitor the plant operation and inform Process Management of abnormal operating parameters that may be prevailing
¿ To enforce the implementation of company¿s Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among his staff
¿ To monitor all data entries in to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
¿ To supervise the maintenance and modifications to the LIMS and the associated Business Object¿s software for report generation, for internal and external dispatch
¿ To monitor the condition of associated vendor supplied lubricants used in Process Rotation Equipment
¿ To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital and Operating budgets and monitor annual expenditure budgets
¿ To periodically review and ensure implementation of the routine test schedules with Operation and Maintenance Section Heads and agree for additional requests
¿ To coordinate with Technical Manager, Section Heads and Plant Operations with regard to analysis schedules, test runs, shutdowns, start-ups, technical surveys and inspection-related analysis of sludge and scales for corrosion control
¿ To contribute towards the preliminary process upset/failure investigations/studies in order to find out the root causes and to prevent re-occurrence by implementing recommended remedial actions
¿ To ensure implementation of Competency Based Training & Development programs, through use of Personal Development Plans (PDP¿s), Competency Assurance Management System (CAMS) and UAE Nationalization Directives


Minimum Requirements
¿ B.Sc in Chemistry
¿ 8 years experience in operations, 3 years of which must have been in a Senior Supervisory capacity
¿ Good knowledge of written and spoken English
¿ Very good communication skills
¿ Nationality: Only Western Nationals Preferred
