Our client, a leading Petrochemical company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit Compliance Officer

Key Responsibility: Key role of Compliance Officer is to conduct compliance and procedure related audit and make recommendations to improve compliance.

Detailed Job description:
¿ Conduct audits, Spot-checks and investigations, analyzes findings, prepares reports and maintains records for areas/activities within scope of responsibility.
¿ Monitor and review reported compliance concerns.
¿ Conduct review of compliance with terms & conditions of purchase order, project contracts and service contracts.
¿ Develops corrective actions responses to audits findings.
¿ Summarizes compliance issues and communicates any matters deemed potentially illegal, unethical or otherwise improper to Senior Internal Auditor or Vice-President Internal Audit.
¿ Make recommendations to improve compliance.
¿ Conducts follow-up audits of compliance related recommendations.
¿ Maintains awareness of compliance issue related to areas of responsibility across the organisation.
¿ Works with SIA and VP-IA to increase awareness of business compliance program.
¿ Participates in developing annual audit plan and advices on inclusion of compliance related audit areas.
¿ Updating data of executed audits in Teammate (Audit Management Software).
¿ Participates in updating risk register and identifying risks related to compliance issues (policies, procedures, contracts or applicable laws and regulations).
¿ Co-ordinates with Corporate HSE and Procurement Division to identify risk areas related to manpower contracts and check compliance with principles of Social Accountability 8000.

Skills & Knowledge:
¿ Work Experience related to oil and gas industry;
¿ Knowledge of corporate ethics, compliance with law, business practices and procedures.
¿ Candidate should:
o Be able to interpret regulations and understand commercial contracts and conduct research,
o Be well versed with contractors/sub-contractors management and regulations,
o Be able to check compliance with internal policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations,
o Have strong written and oral communication skills,
o Have experience of working on Audit Management Software,
o Be analytical, independent, self-motivated,
o Be flexible, and capable of multi-tasking.

Education Qualification: Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Accountant
Experience: 6 to 8 years

Reporting to: Senior Internal Auditor, Vice President ¿ Internal Audit
