Technical Writer/Author ¿ Onshore based
This vacancy is for our client, French Collaboration Company based in Abu Dhabi.
They have an existing Brownfield project which includes a variety of installation of piping from 1¿ to 20¿, structural extensions and supports various tie-ins and loop modifications. Detailed engineering has been completed with basic Work Pack and Job Cards provided. However Work Packs, Job Cards and SIMOPS Dossiers require development.
Activities ¿ Required:
¿ Development of SIMOPS Dossiers to satisfy Work Pack scope and simultaneous operations with production and construction (hook-up)
¿ Development of Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Dossiers in line with company OPERCOM requirements
¿ Interface with Project Management Team, Discipline Engineering and Operations
¿ Documents to be produced in line with project document numbering and format
¿ Participate in all project meetings and regular follow-up by line management
Required Skills:
¿ Must have worked on offshore projects
¿ Experience in oil & gas technical writing of offshore SIMOPS Dossiers
¿ Experience in oil & gas technical writing of offshore Pre-commissioning/Commissioning Procedures and Dossiers, as per company OPERCOM procedures
¿ Skills preferable in development of Offshore Hook-up ( Construction) Work Packs and job cards
¿ Knowledge of Engineering activities and deliverables
¿ Fluent in English
¿ Good interpersonal and communication skills
¿ Interfaced with Client(s), operations and contractors
¿ Able to be a Team Played, decision maker and Leadership qualities
¿ Able to work as part of the team and independently

Qualification and Experience Required:

¿ Minimum of 5 years experience in offshore oil & gas projects technical writing in SIMOPS procedures, including knowledge of OPERCOM
¿ Excellent skills in MS office software such as WORD & Excel
¿ Excellent written & communication skills in English
¿ Able to work as part of a team or as an individual

Work Location: Abu Dhabi onshore mail office with occasional visits to offshore Abu Dhabi
