Job description

This vacancy is for a Government Oil & Gas Company based in Abu Dhabi.

¿ Responsible for coordination and planning of all Construction activities of approved in-house plant modifications related to LNG production facilities and associated offsite.
¿ Supervise and guide Construction Support Group (Supervisors, Foremen and Technicians) with technical expertise for implementation of in-house plant modifications according to approved drawings and industry standard construction techniques and methods.
¿ Responsible for supervising daily construction activities of project contractors and providing construction progress reports.
¿ Review and reservation of all materials required for construction phase of in-house modifications, in addition to Management of regular consumables required.
¿ Promote HSE awareness and best industry practices amongst construction support group and carrying out relevant plant safety audits. Encourage safety tool box talks and near miss reporting.
¿ Responsible for coordinating pre-commissioning and commissioning activities following completion of construction phase, and providing notice of final completion certificate.
¿ Carries out the direct ordering and reservation from stock of all materials for the modifications, ensures materials comply with company standards and are correct specification for the duty.
¿ Liaises regularly with discipline construction engineers and senior construction engineer to address inter-disciplinary requirements and any overlap for the modifications.
¿ Responsible for resolving any technical construction related issues arising during installation phase of projects and modifications.
¿ Coordinates site visits and related activities for project contractors and potential bidders.
¿ Responsible for delivery of As-Built mark-up documentation for in-house modifications and verification of final contracted project documentation.
¿ Responsible for carrying out site surveys and construction feasibility studies in support of Engineering and design activities.
¿ Carries out pre-commissioning checks on the completed work to ensure that construction is to the approved design.
¿ Recommend corrective actions and rectification methods for any deficiencies or non-conformances identified.
¿ Ensure adherence to Plant Permit-To-Work system.



Qualifications

¿ B,Sc in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
¿ 10 years experience in the construction field, including minimum of 7 years in processing, oil refining or petrochemical industry.
¿ Very good spoken and written English.
¿ Computer literate

Work Cycle
Leave cycle 35/28 (i.e. 35 days on Das followed by 28 days off)

¿ Salary is negotiable depending on qualification and experience.
¿ Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge while on the Das Island.
¿ Sports / recreational club facilities on the island
