Job description

This vacancy is for a Government Oil & Gas Company based in Abu Dhabi.

¿ Provide direction and recommendations to the project team personnel related to project management processes and procedures.
¿ Initiate, develop, customize, adopt and implement project management policies, guidelines, procedures and systems for the evaluation, development, and execution of General Technical Services Departments projects.
¿ Facilitate, guide and support project management activities for larger complex, and involve in projects that have a high profile and projects that may be deemed risky.
¿ Manage activities of multiple consultants providing project Front End Engineering services.
¿ Manage activities of multiple Contractors /EPCs¿.
¿ Facilitate the research, collection, consolidation, analysis and distribution of cost/schedule and other project management information from past internal and external projects.
Key responsibilities:
¿ Review, establish and finalize Project Reporting System
¿ Review, finalize project proposals for completeness, presentation standards and consistency.
¿ Prepare and finalize Statement of Requirement for Consultant and Contractor /EPC
¿ Review, finalize criteria for defining cost estimate class, accuracy range and cost estimate communication requirements.
¿ Review, finalize consistent methods for risk management from identification and assessment (including contingency development) to risk mitigation and ongoing management.
¿ Review, finalize QA/QC and HSE requirements for the project
¿ Finalizes and approves project schedules integrating multi projects and circulates to team members and management.
¿ Convenes project performance review meetings and approves the recorded minutes.
¿ Develop templates, examples and checklists for further development by lead project team members.
¿ Identify, evaluate, analyze, recommend and coordinate with consultants.
¿ Coordinate work of other specialists and vendors.
¿ Cutomise, provide implementation support for the project procedures and project management processes.
¿ Conduct project presentations to project teams and management.
¿ Assist in project economic justification.
¿ Review policies & procedures and recommend improved processes for project management


Qualifications
¿ B. Sc. In Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
¿ 15 Years experience in the project management, major maintenance projects including minimum 10 years in EPC environment or in operating plant in gas processing, oil refining or petrochemical industry with sound background in Project Management, Project Controls, and Project Reporting.
¿ Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
¿ Computer Literate.
