The above vacancy is for our client a Oil & Gas Company based in Abu Dhabi.

Basic Function

Supervises the Data Centre¿s activities, ensuring provision of cost effective computer services to end user, business operations in the areas of Operations & Support, Data Management & Security, User Support and Network & Telecommunications.

Work Performed
1. Supervise, Lead and coordinates the activities of the Data Centre & IT Infrastructure. Participates in formulation of IT Strategy related to the Infrastructure & Data Center within the company with a view to meet business requirements in the short and long term.

2. Plans, defines, and ensures preparation of budget and resource requirements for the Data Centre & IT Infrastructure.

3. Supervises plans for upgrading the Data Centre¿s & IT Infrastructure capability to meet business requirements growth.

4. Ensures that new cost effective technologies are adopted by the Data Centre & IT Infrastructure in order to provide the highest level of service whilst minimizing operational costs.

5. Ensures that maintenance contracts are drawn up for all hardware and software in strict accordance with actual business requirements.

6. Lead & Participate in the implementation and compliance of policies and standards manual covering all aspects of the Data Centre & IT Infrastructure.

7. Lead and controls the Operations of back-end Support for the Data Center & IT Infrastructure, ensuring a reliable, prompt and efficient service.

8. Lead and controls the Data Management, ensuring the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of information assets in a high performance environment.

9. Keeps abreast of the technological advancement in the areas of IT hardware, software, operating system, telecommunications, etc., and propose implementing the same where applicable.

Minimum Requirements:
¿ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with training in computer and management.
¿ 15 Years experience in Information Technology of which at least 10 years is IT Infrasteructure & Data Center related.
¿ Good writing and communication skills in Arabic and English language.
