Job description

Analysis, provides support, and participates in the review and development of personnel policies, job analysis and compensation & benefits activities. Ensures that policies and procedures are up to date and terms and conditions of compensation & benefits are competitive within the overall Group policies as well as provides advice on interpretation and clarification of policies.

This includes, the necessary preparatory work involving data analysis, maintaining & updating the SAP system, process mapping, job descriptions preparation, preparation for JEC meetings, reviewing & processing RGTs, maintenance and issue of the Company¿s Organisation Chart Manual


Main Accountabilities
a) Carries out preliminary comparative studies on revised job descriptions by highlighting similarities/differences with old ones and other comparable jobs within the Company or across the Group.

b) Collects and analyzes comparative data for enhancement/ improvements in the Company Personnel Policy Manual, Employee Handbook and System Procedures manual.

c) Periodically reviews personnel policies and procedures taking into consideration Divisions requirements and suggestions, submits proposals for amendments to policies and ensures up-date of approved on-line Personnel Policy.

d) Maintains contact with the group companies (OPCOs) to exchange related information which might be used for informative and comparative purposes

e) Proof reads job descriptions, includes all documents for the Job Evaluation Factor Rating Forms, and documents for the Job Evaluation Committee Meetings and the Committee¿s recommendation and correspondence.

f) Maintains and keeps a record of all evaluated jobs, factor rating forms, letters of notification to the Division/Department concerned of the evaluation result and the approved grades.

g) Assists in the preparation of organization restructure proposals produces revised charts and checks the Company¿s organisation chart reflecting the approved manpower establishment and off-establishment positions.

h) Processes all salary increases and re-grading arising from promotions, job evaluation, Professional Career Ladder assessments, ensuring accuracy, timely completion and adherence to appropriate policies.

i) Prepares the payment of bonus proposals to Management with various scenarios and cost implication taking into consideration the eligibility criteria and guidelines.

j) Assists in the compensation & benefits region wise comparative studies and analysis


k) Advises Heads and Managers and staff on all aspects of compensation policies and processes, and deals with individual requests and cases appropriately, prepares the bi-annual Salary review morale and motivation proposals, suggesting parameters to be used, producing cost implications, and implementing the final approved salary revisions.


Minimum Requirements:
a) Bachelor¿s degree preferably in Business administration or equivalent.

b) 6 years¿ experience in personnel function with emphasis on policy development, job analysis and compensation practices.

c) Good knowledge of computers involving spread sheets, databases and graphics packages. Knowledge of SAP HR systems preferable.

d) Strong Planning and analytical skills with attention to detail.

e) Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic.
