Our client, a leading oil and gas company is looking forward to recruit suitable candidates for the below position.

Mechanical Technician (Utilities)
Job Scope
¿ Carry out and skilled maintenance work independently in the repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, alignment and modification of mechanical, rotating and stationary equipment like pumps, steam and gas turbines, compressors, fans, gearboxes, valves, PSV¿s, heat exchangers, vessels, columns, boilers, filters, loading arms, structural spring supports and ability to layout pipe fitting work from isometric drawings.
¿ Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on rotating equipment.
¿ Hands-on experience in handling mechanical seals, O-rings, gaskets and shaft seals.
¿ Ability to identify piping specs, gaskets, bolts and nuts, valves etc. and able to carryout the work on all the pipings.
¿ Operates simple M/C tools such as grinding machines, drilling machines, impact wrenches etc. Hands on experience in hydrotesting of valves, pipes and vessels.
¿ Able to take precision measurement using depth gauges, micrometer, vernier calipers etc. and must be able to work to very close tolerances.
¿ Prepares sketches/brief reports such as piping, structures, alignment, finished dimensions etc.


Minimum Requirements:

¿ Completion of technical secondary education (12 years)/apprenticeship certificate or equivalent.
¿ 7 years minimum experience in oil and gas industry.
¿ Fair knowledge of spoken and written English.

Remuneration package:

¿ Salary: As per junior staff (technical) Call-off Contract.
¿ Leave cycle: 90 days `ON¿ Das Island followed by 30 days `OFF¿.
¿ Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge in the Island.
¿ Excellent sports/recreational club facilities on the Island.
